Having spent time in Dubai I once visited the main beach (Jumeriah I think it was called).Western women were allowed to wear "western" bathing suits but quite a few women were wearing those burkinis.
Strange isn't the word for it.

I owned 2 pairs of Nikes. They were easily the worst quality shoe I ever owned.

The womens bobsled team can use them as braking parachutes at the end of the run.

Muslim women will don the Nike hijab and win a medal at the Olympics, then come back to their home country only to be stoned by the men.
Perhaps Nike should release a Kevlar hijab too. I don’t think they thought this out too well.

Does anyone else see the irony of Nike releasing a product which highlights the repression of women on the eve of “International Women’s Day”? I thought today was supposed to highlight the empowerment and freedom of women.
But what do I know? I’m just a knuckle-dragging, bible-thumping white male neanderthal.
