good morning. I enjoyed getting acquainted during the primaries and election madness... your posts were always fun.

May I share a story that went on with me re: you. I had been away from FR for a few years due to the el-junko re: the 2008/2012 elections. Just too many attacks on each other and too much bad feelings. I dropped in now and then to various threads I like (Sun AM TALK SHOW, Preppers. Gardening. Amys Canteen. etc. Just now and then

I was very active prior and attended many of the DC FReeps. (walter Reed, parties, Correspondent dinners etc). There was a DC Freeper that had the first part of your screen name Exit (but with different numbers). really didn’t remember the numbers good little ADD that I am

I thought you were her. Was glad to see the reconnect - so I thought. And then one day you mentioned your WIFE. and I though hmmmm.. didn’t know she paddled that boat but hey, will be loving and tolerant.

Took a few more months before I realized there were two different “exits” involved. So you were/are a guy and she is a gal and both straight.

Okay, not the most profound story you will read today but just wanted to share a little chuckle I had along the way in our acquaintance.

Me too. I remember well drinking beer in the Hilton bar at the correspondents dinner with her and others. Exit 82 apparently is not her.

yes it was an excellent day.

Movie Logan was good. For those who are X-men fans. It was a dark movie.Very dark. No spoilers for those who will see it. Wolverine has always been a fav of mine.

Dinner at my fav local mom/pop pizza place. I did crash early.. 8 PM! was up at 4 that morning so was tired by 8 after a full tummy and several glasses of wine.

On way back to hotel had many detours with road closings/cop cars/lights flashing/fire dept trucks lights flashing etc.

Apparently the Oklahoma high winds got lost and visited NE Ohio. Many power lines down and homes w/o power. Hit our street. poor babies. My power has been gone 4 years LOL.

MANY trees uprooted .. huge trees and went over into major streets and took down power lines.

probably won’t take long to get all back to normal - probably already there.

You must have been thinking of Exit148, who is definitely a fine lady and patriot.

Her screenname was the inspiration for mine, as we were both residing in NJ in 1998 when I joined FR.

It’s a NJ thing—you are located by what exit you live near either on the NJ Turnpike or the Garden State Parkway. At the time, I lived in Toms River,NJ, Exit 82 on the GSP.

I relocated to southern DE in 2006.

I hope I have never embarrassed Exit148. As I recall, there was a third Freeper known as Exit109.

Hello my dear friend Bert. I miss you.

My friend Bill (the older gent RIP 4 years now) always liked you and remembered the conversations .. He was such a trooper. Had bad shingles pain for 10 years. Bent over like crazy but pushed on and on at 87 years of age. He was always ready for a rugged hike with my dogs. I took him kayaking(I have several) at a gentle spot where he wouldn’t get in trouble with screens that are deadly for young healthy folk). I considered him a project that God gave me. He was kind, giving and energetic. DIRT POOR and lonely. Thanks for helping to make him happy

April is coming!!

I’ll unwrap my kayak and hit the lake. I try my best to make two trips a week. My first this year will be voyage 118.

Kayaking is fantastic exercise. I paddle a while and then rest. While resting I take up my trusty fly rod and slay the Blue gills.

I paddle on flat water. I was talking to a guy I met and he had a photo of him self kayaking over a 30’ rapid. I’m too old for that adventure

No excuses for conservatives either, especially those who did not support President Donald Trump and Vice President Michael Pence. We are now all in this together and the alternative is the abyss of Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, Keith Ellison, or Elizabeth Warren. Republicans must stand together or we all hang separately.

Yeah that’s the part I heard.

But I still think it’s good to let congressmen and trump know if you’re unhappy with parts of the first iteration - we never know what will end up in the final bill

I do not understand how this works, with bills coming out in stages. How can anyone vote with for anything when they don’t know what the rest of it contains?

This sounds like Nanzi - you can see what’s in it after you pass it. I couldn’t vote on anything until I’d seen everything.

I agree that part III if it is to be done concurrently as Price has repeatedly said, needs to be released now and discussed now as part of phase I
