Not posting since I am unsure if we can excerpt Time.
The upshot is the EU has found that the US is in violation of Visa reciprocity from Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Cyprus, and Poland and wants to force US citizens to get Visas to go there.

Yes its nice to have some one in our corner again
This will not happen. Bluster and nothing more. Laugh at it and move on.
I’ve found that European nations are much more pleasant outside the major cities. France and the French are awesome outside Paris. The largest city I experienced in Germany was Trier.
England is the same. Go to where the real people are. They’re in the countryside. You’ll get snooted in London.
It depends on where you live in the US as to how convenient it is to obtain a visa at an embassy or consulate.
Just hitch a ride with lindsey Graham and McCain. They practically live in Eastern Europe
What about Master Card?
Yeah, yeah, I'll save you the trouble.
My wife and I would consider visiting Poland.
Europe IS a tourist economy. Their new population is devastating this economy as it is. This move would destroy Europe completely and bring about the war.
As it should be.
Remember when you would just flash your id, they would ask just two questions: where to and how long. Hard to believe.
Many actually are reported to be garden spots. USD goes far.
Some have outlawed communism. Some, maybe most, are Christian. Many are attracting Europeans escaping migration invasions. Some have restricted immigration and refugee resettlement.
Do some searches. This isn’t the 1950s-1960s. Back about 15 years ago, I knew a Pole making decent money in the US. He was buying land in Poland and was a zloty millionaire. Bright guy.
Ditto. No desire to see Europe at this point in time.
I will probably get flamed for saying this, but here it goes.
I’ve been saying for quite some time that our nation is on it’s way to healing when Disney Land/World, etc. is empty and bankrupt.
Overpriced fantasy land, movies, etc., that propagates banality of the mind. Especially when it comes to the children of our nation.
I think they’ll want to re-think that stupid idea. Where do they think they get their money to run their stupid, backwards countries anyway!
Yep! AMERICAN TOURISTS!
Trips to Paris was a big deal if someone did it when I was a kid in the 60s and 70s, since the 80s, anyone that wanted to go has, and I can assure you from the early 90s until last year, it is NOT the same by any stretch. You want to see old buildings and art, good food, and keep your wallet, you better stay in well lit protected zones. In the day the occasional Romanian mother with baby distraction while your pocket was picked was it (and part of the story when back home). For me, done.
Always planned on visiting Europe in retirement - few more years to go - but no longer any plans to do so.
EU you reap what you sow.
“...”The lack of visa reciprocity affects at least 14 percent of E.U. citizens, namely the citizens of Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Cyprus, and Poland as well as some E.U. citizens with dual nationality,” E.U. lawmaker Filiz Hyusmenova said in a statement seen by Deutsche Welle following the vote.”
Wonder why they never brought this up during the 0bozo administration, it has apparently been in effect for some time
I consult in Germany. Would be a pain to get a visa to go to Poland. Zakopane is a great place for vacation. It is a PITA for my friends to visit. They have to go to the consulate in person for a US visa and Poland has been with us since the beginning of Afghanastan and Iraq.
Poles shouldn’t need a visa to come to the US. Few Muslims live in Poland.
We made our absolute last trip to Europe in August 2015.
Nevermore.
With Trump in the WH and Obama, Hillary, Soros and a host of others en-route to prison for sedition, things will be great in America!
