Last night’s speech marked the end of eight straight years of the Democrat’s overt attempt to tease apart the American mainstream fabric through the use of identity politics. At stake was America as envisioned by its Founders vs. hateful, anti-American, new world order globalists and their freakish ambition to cede America’s future, treasure and security to the UN’s corrupt third-world banana republics and those who control them.
The alt-left Democrat Party spent decades dividing Americans into an archipelago of victim-classes, pitting each against the others, while erasing as many moral and ethical boundaries as possible. Their goal was to so distort reality that objective truth and moral certainty would eventually vanish, and that America would kneel before the poisonous tenants and spirit-killing madness of Cultural Marxism. It was all right out of the Saul Alinsky playbook.
As of last night all of that has changed forever. America has awakened.

Anyway, I was really struck by how pathetic and sad the token Democrat response was. They had some washed up ex-governor from Kentucky that must have been 80 years old give a canned 9-minute speech in some dark diner (that was obviously closed for the night). Behind him were some unsmiling, very unenthusiastic looking people sitting on stools with deep frowns. They looked like refugees from a Jeb Bush rally.
I couldn't believe that the normally media-savvy Democrats would have such a depressing backdrop for their response. I can only surmise that they were hoping that the optics of sad-looking "plain folks" from a run-down diner in flyover country would paint a dark image of "Trump's America." If that was the intent, it badly backfired on them.
