President Trump is set to sign an executive order aimed at boosting historically black colleges and universities, known as HBCUs, on Tuesday amid a period of increased outreach to the institutions from high-level members of the administration.
The order will allow HBCU officials to serve as advisors to Trump on his urban agenda as well as increase the private sector's role in the colleges and universities, a White House official said.

I have no problem with that. You can be sure the left will find a way to turn it into a negative.
But, but Kellyanne had her little feet on the sofa when the President was meeting with them. I think that’s WAY more important than actually looking for answers to the inner city woes!
I await to see what this entails. I am willing to see the impact, but I AM NOT at all agreeable to anything remotely resembling HMCUs - Historically Muslim [made up] Colleges and Universities.
There is a difference between real historical considerations of LEGITIMATE Americans who may have been mistreated back when, but there is NO ROOM for appeasement of frigging Muslims on any front. I don’t care what Obama had to say about them.
I was just thinking the same thing. Nothing will satisfy them, so give them nothing.
The Dems perceive the black community as their own private stomping grounds. They will not like Trump trespassing on their territory trying to steal their voters..............
Shouldn’t they be forced to admit whites, despite their higher test scores, and give those whites protected, segregated safe spaces? They’ll need them.
I must be missing something. Why do need an executive order to “allow” HBCU people to serve as advisors? Couldn’t the White House just invite them?
That’s her “cute” little feet on the couch.
I take my own safe space with me where ever I go,courtesy of Heckler and Koch.
Racist! Gots to be.
Historically black colleges are in a tough position. When they first came into being blacks were not generally allowed to go to other public universities. So those black universities got the best and the brightest out of the black community. Now however the best and brightest don’t go to the historically black colleges. In Ohio we have a black college called Central State and my daughter was very familiar with that University because her ROTC battalion was affiliated with Central State. She said that it was on the verge of being a failing school lots of kids brought in from inter-cities in Detroit and other large cities who did not have a good background in academics or school or put into Central State and it was a almost impossible situation for them to succeed even though the intentions were good
The Executive has several functions in managing the funds concerning HBCU and their leadership. HBCU receive funds due to a previous Education act.

It's never-ending coddling and ass-kissing. Move to the front of the line, take this money, have these special privileges, you're wonderful, you're special, etc. etc.
Executive=Trump Administration? I’m inferring from your response that an EO is needed because the colleges receive federal government aid and are currently prevented from advising the government because of potential conflict of interest...please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong. Thanks for the help!
I would love and support HBCU’s if they would open 2 year and technical colleges in the inner cities. Those campus should be in the inner cities of the north as the HBCU are below the Mason Dixon line. Prepare the students for a career or move on to a four year program.
Keep the costs low, convert unused inner city buildings into a productive community use.
