Former U.S. president George W. Bush said Monday that a free press was 'indispensable to democracy' during his two White House terms – hinting that he disagrees with President Donald Trump's assessment of some reporters as 'the enemy of the people.'
'We need an independent media to hold people like me to account,' Bush said on the 'Today' show.
'I think power can be very addictive, and it can be corrosive, and it's important for the media to call to account people who abuse their power, whether it be here or elsewhere.'

And Bush also said that we need freedom to worship, etc. and indicated opposition to Trump’s exec order / travel ban from certain countries. What freedom of religion has to do with a travel ban escapes me.
Or is Bush going liberal on us in his old age?
The entire Bush family has been very bad for the country. The complete repudiation of Jeb in the primaries indicates most of us know this fact.

When they promote the lie that vetting Muslims coming from terror producing countries is “racism” or “homophobia”, what does GW think the end result of that is?
