When they brought William “Ryan” Owens home, the Navy SEAL was carried from a C-17 military plane in a flag-draped casket, onto the tarmac at Dover Air Force Base, as President Donald Trump, his daughter, Ivanka, and Owens’ family paid their respects. It was a private transfer, as the family had requested. No media and no bystanders, except for some military dignitaries. Owens’ father, Bill, had learned only a short time before the ceremony that Trump was coming. Owens was sitting with his wife, Marie, and other family members in the solemn, living room-like space where the loved ones of the fallen assemble before they are taken to the flight line.
“I’m sorry, I don’t want to see him,’’ Owens recalled telling the chaplain who informed him that Trump was on his way from Washington. “I told them I don’t want to meet the President.”
It had been little more than 24 hours since six officers in dress uniform knocked on the door to Owens’ home in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. It was not yet daylight when he answered the door, already knowing in the pit of his stomach what they had come to tell him.

"According to a timeline provided by White House, then-National Security Advisor Michael Flynn briefed the president about the operation Jan. 25 over a dinner that included Vice President Mike Pence, Chief Strategist Steve Bannon, his son-in-law Jared Kushner and top security aides, but not in the Situation Room, as had been the common practice under previous administrations."
If the President gets the proper briefing from the people needed to make sure he has all the information he needs to approve the mission then does it matter where he gets it? So it was over dinner. By all accounts the people he needed to hear from were there. Does it matter that it wasn't in the Situation Room?
And this:
"At the time of the raid, Trump was not in the Situation Room, where he would have been directly involved in monitoring developments."
Was Obama in the Sit Room during each and every Seal raid? I doubt it. The decision had been made. The proper people were in the Situation Room during the raid. President Trump was being kept abreast of the goings on. What difference does it make that he wasn't there in person?
Obama’s leaking decimated the ENTIRE Seal Team Six. How about that?
At least Trump didn’t have to be called in off the golf course to watch it, like Obama did during the Bin Laden raid.
Obama cancelled that 3 times, until Leon Panetta asked him “under what circumstances would you approved this?”- then he made sure those were met, and then told the moron-in-chief only after the operation started, so he could not cancel it again.
I also heard a version where he wanted to stop it but Panetta told him he would go public if he did.
Then the dumba$$ went and claimed all the credit “when HE gave the order...”

Owens, also a military veteran, was troubled by Trump’s harsh treatment of a Gold Star family during his presidential campaign.
No question in m mind that an Obama holdover leaked it.
I have to add that no one forced this young man to become a SEAL, and I think everyone understands that you run the risk of dying in that job. To blame the president shows the kind of stupid, immature thinking rampant among liberal minds.
Am I wrong? Wasn’t this operation planned before Trump even took office?
A few weeks later most of seal team six were dead.

If this Miami Herald report has any inkling of truth, then this patriot son was not like his father.
President Trump is one of the most patriotic military supporting presidents that has been seen in our lifetimes. And this father does not have the good sense to put the flag before his sick democrat views.
In time, people like this will marginalize themselves to deep irrelevance.

President Trump was right in approving the mission.
It has been in the news that the purpose of this mission was to grab a high ranking enemy.
This person escaped.
The mission was thus a failure.
That is not President Trump’s fault.
It has been reported that the enemy realized they were about to be attacked and prepared accordingly.
They started sending out radio/telephone signals saying they were going to be attacked.
These transmissions were intercepted by us and given to the Commander of this raid.
The Commander of the raid chose to continue the mission.
This person needs to be examined.
The training program that produced this Commander should be examined.
It could be that the Commander made the right decision. I hope the material they picked up was worth it.
The Democrats tried to make this about President Trump.
Again, President Trump was right to approve this mission.
His son died in combat. Surprised the father doesn’t know that people sometimes die in combat.
Senator John McCain serves as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Armed Services. Did McCain have knowledge of this mission? Is McCain the leak? I wouldn’t put it past him.
