Tomorrow the Democratic National Committee (DNC) will have to choose the direction of the Democratic Party, as well as its likely composition. It will be among the most important choices the DNC has ever had to make. There has been a powerful push from the hard-left of the Democratic Party, led by senator Bernie Sanders, to elect Keith Ellison chairman. If he is elected, I will quit the party after 60 years of loyal association and voting. I will become an independent, continuing to vote for the best candidates, most of whom, I assume, will still be Democrats. But I will not contribute to the DNC or support it as an institution. My loyalty to my country and my principles and my heritage exceeds any loyalty to my party. I will urge other like-minded people – centrist liberals – to follow my lead and quit the Democratic Party if Ellison is elected Chairman. We will not be leaving the Democratic Party we have long supported. The Democratic Party will be leaving us!

I agree,. I also think he knows that if elision is elected those staying in the party well be damaged politically long term by his actions.
I rarely read the MSM press, and never watch them on T.V. Have they published any of the heinous things he’s said? LIV, by their own actions, may not even have heard of Ellison’s radical views. Of course, politicians know better. They have no excuse. Many of them are against him. But, like every other muslim who wants to keep their true beliefs unknown, Ellison lies, obfuscates, and hides his true feelings. London has a muslim mayor. Michigan and Minnesota are full of councilmen, etc., who are muslim. If the democrats do this, then our fight for our country will be hiked up exponentially. Pray without ceasing, even if you aren’t a praying person. This kind of evil requires committed spiritual warfare. If we don’t humble ourselves before God, and seek His face, our country will be overrun. He placed Trump in the White House. But Trump cannot do this alone. He cannot change our hearts. Only God can bring righteousness to our country.
If he does leave he better watch his back. Once the dems no longer have a use for him they will try to destroy him.
In Texas, as in GA, a Republican State Convention selects the State Chair, State Committeeman and Committeewoman.
In GA it starts with precinct caucuses we attended a couple weeks ago. The County Convention is mid-March. The the state convention. We also have events and officers at the State Rep and Congressional District level.
In IL the process used to be extremely closed by intent. Very top down by the corruption wing of the party.
In GA where I’ve been 3 years, the party just has no concept of how to operate. Most of the people running for higher party office are swamp dwellers who use titles in the swamp to impress the party and titles in the party to impress other swamp dwellers.
A few in GA want the party to reach out beyond the country club. We shall see how each level goes. It all depends on who shows up and selects for the next level.
Somebody could provide a FR service by publishing the party evens in each state.
If you didn’t move up from the lowest precinct level, you won’t have much power if you show up at the upper levels.

In this day & age, anti-semtism’ roots are in the dem party, electing Ellison just makes that official. The question is where will the Jews go>

This is good news. When people see someone they respect taking an action, one they have qualms about, they are more likely to follow. Humans are sheep. Maybe Dershowitz will lead many more away from the Demonrats.
that and also, if more Jews leave the party, even if in the future, they vote 60-40 D/R rather than 70/30, in close House and Senate races, esp. given how Jews are distributed in many swing districts (like NY-03, certain PA and OH ones), it can have a big effect.
I also think Jews’ bleeding hearts for the blacks and Hispanics are stopping as it kinda looks like “we’ve done all we can do. Now stop whining and start behaving.”

I do not admire Dershowitz for his principle, I hold him in open disdain for how long it took him to apply it, which he is actually yet to do with regard to non-Jewish white voters who were and are subjected to the same outrageous bigotry that at last he can no longer ignore. He's against that, well, three cheers. Now what is he for? Because the time for a principled withdrawal into "independence" that requires no positive commitment is past. That's the resort of cowards these days. If he wants to watch, let him shut up and watch; if he wants to fight, fine. Then fight.

If he had been around in 1938 Germany he would have informed on his Jewish neighbors and then sold off their property to pocket the money.
