John McCain suggests on Meet the Press that President Trump is suppressing the free press, which is the first thing that dictators do.
If you want to preserve Im very serious now if you want to preserve democracy as we know it, you have to have a free and many times adversarial press, McCain said in the interview. And without it, I am afraid that we would lose so much of our individual liberties over time. Thats how dictators get started.
The American press is many times adversarial, i.e., it is adversarial when we have a Republican in the White House.
They get started by suppressing free press, in other words, a consolidation of power when you look at history, the first thing that dictators do is shut down the press, McCain said. And Im not saying that President Trump is trying to be a dictator. Im just saying we need to learn the lessons of history.
John, John, get a grip! Who is suppressing the press? Do you seriously not understand the difference between criticizing the press and suppressing it? The press is not above criticism. On the contrary, it deserves to be called out constantly for bias and inaccuracy. President Trump has taken a good step in that direction, but a great deal more press criticism is in order.
Also: not calling on CNN in a White House press conference does not constitute suppressing CNN.
The Washington crack-up continues apace.

McLame loves the media more than the country.
Agreed.
I’d rather see McCain cancelled period. I’ve never wanted a republican to drop dead (seriously) more than I want him to from any ailment.
That traitor #####.

Sen. Rand Paul (Ky.) ripped fellow Republican Sen. John McCain (Ariz.) on Sunday after McCain criticized President Trumps escalating war of words with the media.
He argued that the nation is very lucky that Trump is president and not McCain, who won the 2008 GOP nomination but lost to Barack Obama in the general election.
Paul argued that McCain has a history of being wrong major foreign policy questions.
I would say John McCains been wrong on just about everything over the last four decades. He advocated for the Iraq War, which I think destabilized the Middle East, he said.
If you look at the map, theres probably at least six different countries where John McCain has advocated for us having boots on the ground, he added.

He knows how to get Old Media to love him.
Pray America woke
He’s dirty I bet

It would be different if the press at least tried to be objective and unbiased. They’ve shed all pretense now. So it’s not like this is the press our Founders envisioned. They’re completely in the bag by the dimmos. I don’t see how they should be treated as anything but dimmo operatives.
And McCain’s just their dhimmi.
Keating 5 John, Keating 5.
Why don’t you just STFU and retire you old POS.
McCain is a uniquely paranoid coward. His entire life he has failed to live up to the expectations of his father. He failed as a pilot. He failed as a POW. He failed as a statesman. He failed as a Presidential candidate. He failed as an advocate of soldiers.
Senator McCain has been linked to criminal activity. He is incapable of controlling his violent temper. He is witless and deeply ignorant about this country, its traditions and its people.
John McCain deserves nothing less than to be scorned, belittled and discarded as the worthless Prima Donna he has always been.
John “Spice Girl” McNuts......
Spicer should act like he’s calling on CNN’s Acosta, get him to stand up, then call on the Breitbart guy instead.
They didn't call him “Songbird” for nothing...also the Keating 5 investigation was a cover-up and only God knows what hes done since ...
I think that many of the people get it already. Proof is that President Trump’s numbers are staying mostly positive despite the 24/7 onslaught. I found that satisfyingly reassuring.
Isn’t there a mechanism to have the senile, mentally infirm, and just plain crazy politicians removed from office?
If not, there should be.
Because insane McLame would definitely qualify.
But then again, that might just wipe out most of the federal government.
Sadly, folks like John McCain, Karl Rove, etc. carry little, if no political weight whatsoever. McCain’s cohort Lindsey Graham could not even muster 1% of the GOP primary vote in South Carolina in 2016 vs. Donald J. Trump!!!
The media might hang on their words and inputs....but the overwhelming majority of the American people could care less, as to what they say or think...ignore them all!!!
Go Donald J. Trump!!! John McCain is a “Wannabee” that never, ever was!!! Hate & envy, is no way to go through life!!!
Pushing back against the onslaught of MSM attacks is in NO WAY “suppressing” anyone. McVain is truly retarded. The MSM is just as free as ever to do what they do, but Pres. Trump and others are free to call them out on their lies and propaganda.
THe Ditch is on the way to his home - The Swamp.
He didn’t mind a bit when the were giving a collectivist wannabe tyrant an 8-year BJ, but now it’s a problem when somebody objects aloud to their all tyranny, all-the-time format?? What a tool.
I don’t know who is worse. This asshole McCain, or Scmuckie Chuckie Schumer.
