Donald Trump may put all of the USA's illegal immigrants in ICE's crosshairs with two new orders that could allow for anyone to be deported, regardless of whether they have committed a crime in the US.
The first memo, which says all illegals are subject to deportation, is concerned with internal immigration control.
It orders ICE agents to disregard President Obama's order to focus on criminal immigrants and recent arrivals.
Instead, the order says, they should switch their focus and prioritize migrants who have been charged with crimes but not yet convicted.
It also broadens the scope of ICE powers to determine who should be deported, and says immigrants will not be afforded rights under US privacy laws.
The second memo instructs Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers to crack down on illegal migration at the border by holding migrants in detention until a determination in their case is made.

Sounds like a reasonable plan to me.
I don’t think it is a criminal offense, at least for first time arrests. It is more of a ‘violation’ like a speeding ticket.
IIRC, returning to the US after being deported is a felony, though.

I remember when he would say this in the debates, and I would think to myself-- no.. they ALL GO. So I'm glad he's a sensible man. Illegal means illegal. My family came here legally from Scotland and so I expect the same from everyone else. I could care less where you are from, if you keep your nose clean, love your new country and contribute than welcome. If you hate the US but come here to be a public charge and leech and commit crime then adios.
Well, yeah, I thought that was the definition of “illegal” i.e., a criminal.

Trump should start investigating Obama’s history and false birth certificate to see if he can be deported to Kenya or Indonesia, where he’ll fit right in.

I don’t really understand this order. They should not be held, just sent back immediately unless they are packing drugs or acting as coyotes bringing others into the country. Those categories we should jail, but the individual “migrants” should be flown to the Guatemala border immediately.
What part of Illegal is so hard to understand?
