According to Townhall’s and frequent Fox News contributor Guy Benson, controversial Breitbart editor Milo Yiannopoulos has been disinvited from speaking at the upcoming Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in DC, a report that was quickly confirmed by the ACU Chair.

Yiannopoulos’ initial invitation drew criticism, especially after a questionable clip emerged on social media revealing the Breitbart editor appearing to at least “advocate” for pedophilia. The clip, which was first put online by The Reagan Battalion, quickly made the rounds Sunday; Yiannopoulos says in the video:

A note for idiots (UPDATED):
I do not support pedophilia. Period. It is a vile and disgusting crime, perhaps the very worst. There are selectively edited videos doing the rounds, as part of a co-ordinated effort to discredit me from establishment Republicans, that suggest I am soft on the subject.
If it somehow comes across (through my own sloppy phrasing or through deceptive editing) that I meant any of the ugly things alleged, let me set the record straight: I am completely disgusted by the abuse of children.
Some facts to consider:
1. I have outed THREE pedophiles in my career as a journalist. That’s three more than any of my critics and a peculiar strategy for a supposed pedophile apologist.

2. I have repeatedly expressed disgust at pedophiles in my journalism.

3. I have never defended and would never defend child abusers, as my reporting history shows. The world is messy and complicated, and I recognize it as such, as this furore demonstrates. But that is a red line for any decent person.
4. The videos do not show what people say they show. I *did* joke about giving better head as a result of clerical sexual abuse committed against me when I was a teen. If I choose to deal in an edgy way on an internet livestream with a crime I was the victim of that’s my prerogative. It’s no different to gallows humor from AIDS sufferers.
5. National Review, whose journalists are tweeting about this, published an article defending Salon for giving a pedophile a platform.
6. I did say that there are relationships between younger men and older men that can help a young gay man escape from a lack of support or understanding at home. That’s perfectly true and every gay man knows it. But I was not talking about anything illegal and I was not referring to pre-pubescent boys.
7. I said in the same “Drunken Peasants” podcast from which the footage is taken that I agree with the current age of consent.
8. I shouldn’t have used the word “boy” when I talked about those relationships between older men and younger gay men. (I was talking about my own relationship when I was 17 with a man who was 29. The age of consent in the UK is 16.) That was a mistake. Gay men often use the word “boy” when they refer to consenting adults. I understand that heterosexual people might not know that, so it was a sloppy choice of words that I regret.
9. This rush to judgment from establishment conservatives who hate Trump as much as they hate me, before I have had any chance to provide context or a response, is one of the big reasons gays vote Democrat.
10. In case there is any lingering doubt, here’s me, in the same interview the other footage is taken from, affirming that the current legal age of consent is about right: “And I think the law is probably about right. It’s probably roughly the right age. I think it’s probably about ok. But there are certainly people who are capable of giving consent at a younger age. I certainly consider myself to be one of them, people who were sexually active younger. I think it particularly happens in the gay world, by the way.”
Yes but the Chickenhawk recruitment has been going on for decades. Child abuse is no joking matter and he has to come clean on when he was raped and by who.
Until he is clear about his condemnation of this he should be held out of real discussions. He is awesome, but this is something he can be a real champion for Conservatism.

Not rationale. Benefit of doubt. It’s Leftist to deny someone a chance to state and clarify their views. It’s done to enemies not allies. I accept Milo’s clarification of his perspective that he gave with proof of being anti pedo. I won’t aide the Left and the Globalists in their quest to take down this populist uprising.
I don’t know that you’d consider me as “siding” with Milo Yiannopoulos but he did refute and disavow the claim that he was in favor of sex with minors. He’s also said he’d stop being gay if he had a choice.
The guy’s pretty obnoxious with the lurid details, I don’t know and don’t want to know. However, he’s also been a very effective voice for free speech, freedom of association, pointing out the hypocrisy of modern feminism, the sheer suicidal idiocy of western attitudes toward Islam and has put himself in physical danger to get these points across. It took me a while to reach that conclusion, and I’m still pretty uncomfortable with the thought of being allied with him, but in fact I suppose I am. That doesn’t mean I approve of things of which I don’t approve.
BY the way, I’m watching several on this thread who are so annoyingly frequently on the left of any issue here on FR to the point that I’ve suspected they’re trolls, suddenly having turned into strict social conservatives and are pushing this rejection of Yiannopoulis and find that interesting, too. This is going to undo some of the gains that had been made with college age and younger people, future voters. The left wants this to happen, and man do they ever know how to trigger social conservatives, this is practically a how-to seminar.
Nobody’s perfect, nobody’s without sin. I don’t approve of his lifestyle and don’t want to hear about it but he’s been doing some good, has been an ally and has shown some signs of being capable of repentance.
That’s more than I can say about certain Catholic bishops, so I’ll go after them and anyone else, in the Catholic Church or any other church who tries to rationalize and sweep such behavior under the rug, thanks.

He seems like a very confused young man, that speaks a really good game.

That’s why they call it “boy’s town”. I am dismayed that such a useful cultural warrior as Milo has been taken out...for speaking like a typical gay man in public the same way they speak in private. Milo was bringing to light something very, very important. Gay is not normal, and it can’t be normalized. That doesn’t mean I hate anybody, but Milo was probably the best soldier in our ranks against the Gay Mafia. I regret that he has been compromised.
So you reject Milo’s clarification and believe he is lying and really supports pedophilia? That’s your choice but I believe him, and all the good work he has done allows me to take him at his word, especially knowing the angle he comes from, agree or not.
Rather than pick apart one video I’ll take his explanation and history of outing real pedophiles. The Left and never trumpers ain’t getting his scalp from me.
I agree. I am reminded of the time that FR had glowing praise for Joe Lieberman when he stood up and sided with Bush post-9/11 and what we had to get done. Yes he was really right one one important issue, but people forgot how much of a raging leftist he was on everything else.

I find this entire conversation about Milo, the entire thread, very distressing. It’s more than I want to know about the entire issue. It makes me uncomfortable.
Both those victims [of Polanski and Allen] were post-pubescent. The conduct was predatory and despicable, but not pedophilic.
Woody Allen was always touching the naked body of his daughter Dylan even as a toddler, being groomed. I think she said he penetrated her when she was about 7.
You are right that Polanski’s victim was 13. But she was tricked, she was drugged, and then she was raped in every orifice. That is still rape to me even if it isn’t to Whoopie Goldberg.
Milo also is on record stating that pedophilia involves only prepubescent children. The trouble is that there is a gap between puberty and the legal age of consent where he has advocated for intergenerational sexual relationships.
It is unfortunate that he has gone, but clearly he has. And I don’t think that should be overlooked, which is just a step toward legitimization.
Sex with a 13 year old is Hebephilia, nor pedophilia. Just as WRONG!
