MISSION Hours before the president talked about bad people with bad ideas entering the country at a rally in Florida, a United States senator strapped on a vest, walked through the thick Rio Grande Valley brush as Friday night turned to Saturday and found what he, President Donald Trump and many discuss in Washington D.C. The senator linked the findings to organized violent crime.
There were more than one that were large, young men with a significant percentage of tattoos that might suggest gang affiliation, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, said Saturday afternoon, recounting an overnight ride along with Border Patrol. I dont know that, but those were the individuals that happened to be stopped on the patrol I was participating in.
All of the people Cruz and the patrol encountered were apprehended, he said. But he did not encounter any families, Cruz added, which make up the majority of illegal apprehensions.

When Ted Cruz ran for President knowing he was not a natural born citizen he showed us how serious he was about the Constitution.
He’s gotten on board since the inauguration, but he wasn’t on board at the convention or most of the election.
He may still be a good Senator from Texas, but he will never be President.
In 2015 he provided the go ahead vote for cloture on TPA which enabled TPP. He voted against TPA after he saw it was hurting his presidential run (which he shouldn’t have made as he is not a natural born citizen).
He’s an opportunist. I can live with that as he is not my Senator, but I will not support him running for President.
Here is his mother's birth certificate. It might not make him a natural born citizen, but it does make him a citizen. No one has shown any documentation that she gave up her US citizenship prior to Ted's birth.
No it doesn't. His CRBA does. Where is it?
He did not offer any opposition whatsoever to Pres. Trump’s decision to end TPP. I agree with you that Ted was on both sides of the issue at different times, but he is a solid supporter of Pres. Trump.
I can name half of the Senate that I think is far worse than Ted.
If you look at the law it says CRBA OR Passport.
It does. I’ve checked any number of times.
Oh, absolutely.
Ted has been solidly behind Trump since the inauguration.
Unlike the three stooges, McCain, Graham and Rubio.
Many others have been less than helpful.
He needed the CRBA to get a passport, or he lied about being a citizen.
Where is it?
His mother’s birth certificate makes her a citizen, but not Ted.
He needs a Consular Report of Birth Abroad or naturalization papers, we have seen neither.
Our Governor LePage (a US citizen) has two daughters born in Canada...they had to become naturalized citizens.
Awesome.
A CRBA or naturalization papers.
There is speculation that he did not become a US citizen until high school when he needed a passport for a school trip, in which case there are naturalization papers.
Derangement is best exemplified by supporting a man who took the thinker pose for months at a time trying to figure out if Hillary Clinton was someone he should oppose or not for president in 2016.
Derangement is also exemplified by a guy thinking 2016 was not an important time to take a stand, but leading up to 2018 is. Nope Ted just couldn’t get fired up to oppose Hillary during election 2016, but now that he’s up for re-election in 2018, you can’t shut the guy up.
His advice to Bush in 1999 was to talk about illegal immigrant children and not wanting to break up families, to avoid calls for deportion.
Then a year or so ago he traveled to the border to hand out soccer balls and Teaddy Bears. Now look at him. What a fraud.
Tead is tough on illegal immigration? Seriously?
Ted is a poser.
Other than he accused Trump of being the cause of violence in Chicago before he was supposed to speak there. He rolled the dice on calling out Trump on the violence and it backfired...just like the “NY values” comment during one of the debates, and his non-endorsement, endorsement at the convention.
“Hes gotten on board since the inauguration.”
That’s a good thing, right?
Yawn. Ted has ALWAYS been on board. Please, all, stop the nonsense.
.
Still working on your stupid troll certificate?
.
Yes, absolutely.
He may yet prove to be a good Senator from Texas. Their other one, Cornyn needs to be replaced.
As long as he stays focused on being a Senator, he could be a real asset.
