Congressional Black Caucus member Rep. Hakeem Jeffries has called presidential assistant Steve Bannon a stone-cold racist. Jeffries offered that description during an interview with Katy Tur on her MSNBC show yesterday in explaining why it would be hard for him to attend a meeting between President Trump and the CBC if Bannon were present.
Joy Reid played the Jeffries clip on her MSNBC show this morning during a discussion of a possible meeting between the president and the CBC. April Ryan, the reporter that President Trump had requested, at this weeks press conference, to set up a meeting with the CBC, was a guest on Reids show.

And the evidence is ___ ?
Black caucus member Hakeem Jeffries won’t attend meeting with Pres. Trump if Bannon present because Bannon a “stone-cold racist.”
Ping to Liberal Media criticism list.
Yawn.
Has he got any proof for that?
Or does he just have the power to determine that any random white person is a racist, based on what his third eye sees?
It’s sad, because it’s careless accusations like these that make diminish the impact of highlighting REAL racism. Calling someone “racist” is a really harsh, hurtful, deeply personal attack. A godless way of judging a person you don’t know. The Trump administration is the most open hearted we’ve had to ALL Americans!
Case closed!!
Crawl back into your hole you low-IQ POS!
No Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, your the Stone Stone Cold RACIST & BIGOT!!
So?
I dont gots no evidence but I know it be true
Would Robert Byrd be welcome to come?
Look at the picture of the guy above. Does he look like somebody NOT a zombie, NOT on crack, NOT a high school (non GED) graduate? Search his body...I bet there are some prison tats on it.
This stuff is just getting ridiculous.
"He's a racist and white supremacist."
"Oh, really? Why do you say that?"
"I refuse to explain. You'll just have to take my word for it."
Trump should refuse to speak with the Congressional Black Caucus until there is a Congressional White Caucus.
This from a member of a “caucus” which turned down a white Jewish applicant, Steve Cohen, and a formerly undocumented Hispanic applicant, Adriano Espaillat, both of whom represent majority black districts, because the lack the requisite skin color. Fair to say the CBC is a racist organization fixated on genetics, possibly religion. Fortunately the residents of NY 13 and TN 9 aren’t as biased. Who knows, maybe one day they’ll elect a Republican, without regard to skin color.
Oh cry me a big multicultural river
Please don’t tell me at this stage of our decline you are hand wringing about Real Racism lurking somewhere
I don’t know where u live
I assume whitelandia in Kali...I hope somewhere nice like Sysanville or Shasta area
Go to a black area as a white woman and just wander about
That racism you’re worried about will find you
Man white people today....I swunny....there is no hope
No offense honey you just don’t get and I probably can’t help you get it
Not meaning to be offensive I’m just sick of decades and decades of hearing folks drone about racism when it’s a phantom largely used to destroy our way of life
And they are winning
Obviously of mixed race, therefore possessed of a need to prove to other African-Americans that he is “blacker than thou”. He shares this condition with a former president and a current San Francisco 49ers quarterback. He would no doubt be incredulous and deeply offended if anyone told him who the real “stone-cold racist” in the room is.
