President Trump on Thursday falsely claimed he had the biggest Electoral College win since former President Ronald Reagan.
"I guess it was the biggest electoral college win since Ronald Reagan," he said during a heated press conference at the White House.
"In other words the media is trying to attack our administration because they know we are following through on pledges that we made and they're not happy about it, for whatever reason. But a lot of people are happy about it."
But, in 2012, former President Obama received 332 electoral votes, and in 2008 he won 365 electoral votes.

I don’t know, I’m pretty sure George H.W. Bush was never even actually president.
I’m not even sure that “Bush” is even a word.
But he still won 426 Electoral votes.
This is just such a silly thing to get mired in.
Trump should say “I won states no Republican has won since the ‘80s”
Boom, done, point made and we don’t end up in this bizzaro world.
lol that is awesome
Ah, ok. I missed the clarification.
CNN was plastering up a graph a few minutes ago trying to “prove” this nothingburger wrong. No mention of his clarification.
Such stupidity.
I think he meant the largest margin by a Republican... You know the media is on the rocks if is this is all they got. I think they underestimate the response they are going to get. They were used to a President who read his answers from a teleprompter and they think that was acceptable.
Truth.
Gives the MSM something stupid to waste their time on.
I don;t understand as to why you keep saying what the Hill is saying. You only have to say it once, but then again do you fit in the anti Trump movement?
All the grounds she needs are in the dumpster behind the nearest Starbucks.
whenever he talks about the election he gets the numbers wrong. He needs to just stop it already.
He wasn’t sure and turned out he was wrong on a minor detail. Big deal.
...
It is a big deal because now he gets free press coverage about his EC margin over Mrs. Clinton. He knows what he’s doing.
But that's still less than Obama's 2008 margin of 192 electoral votes and his 2012 margin of 126.
He just owned them for 90 minutes at today's press conference and now he has them chattering among each other like outraged little schoolgirls over whether or not Trump's victory really was "biggest since Reagan."
I am simply responding to those who overlook Bush Sr and want to wish away what a fantastic win he had in 1988.
I may have Bush Sr. nostalgia because that is the first election as a young child that I remember and was very pleased Bush won. I also cried like a little baby 4 years later when he lost to Clinton
This is what the Hill thought was the most important thing to come out of the presser? Seriously.
The MSM should be getting pretty good at arranging the deck furniture on the Titanic.
The election was 3 months ago. Trump won. He’s sitting in the seat. Why is he still talking about the election? Geez, move on.
Yes yes, I know. Trump is not to be criticized here. So go ahead, pile on. Blah blah blah.
You’re right, he should issue a correction.
It should say that the fact that his Electoral College victory prevented a Hillary Clinton presidency makes it the most important Electoral College victory in the history of America.
Part of me thinks that President Trump has a team of people thinking up silly, inconsequential “mistakes” that could be made and which the Press would go after like rabid dogs.
This EC vote thing — who cares?? The answer is: no one except the Media.
And as the media blows this all out of proportion, more and more Americans will get sick of the biased press and their silly, inconsequential efforts to destroy the very popular President.
