High-level advisers close to then-presidential nominee Donald Trump were in constant communication during the campaign with Russians known to US intelligence, multiple current and former intelligence, law enforcement and administration officials tell CNN.
President-elect Trump and then-President Barack Obama were both briefed on details of the extensive communications between suspected Russian operatives and people associated with the Trump campaign and the Trump business, according to US officials familiar with the matter.
Both the frequency of the communications during early summer and the proximity to Trump of those involved "raised a red flag" with US intelligence and law enforcement, according to these officials. The communications were intercepted during routine intelligence collection targeting Russian officials and other Russian nationals known to US intelligence.

Even if it is true, which it is not, It is not unlawful to talk to Russians even Russian government agents.

Take a step back and breath deep. Russia is a big, important country. It is normal to contact officials in its government. It’s called di-plo-ma-cy. It goes on before elections, too, especially if you expect to win and want to hit the ground running. Unless you can prove collusion that changes the course of the election, you got squat. You have to prove it. Investigate. Subpoena. Whatever you want. But the burden of proof is on the accuser. Especially if they have among them a certifiable nut case like Michael Moore.

As one who posts infrequently and from afar but who nevertheless has a rigid Conservative, if Irish slanted, spine, I am bound to ask how rebuttal, if possible, of these accusations will be progressed by the relevant US forces of Conservatism. Spitting vengeful hate and calling for jail terms when there is no evident judicial path to those terms surely will get you nowhere. Events are gathering pace. Is there some credible rebuttal force that can deal with this onslaught or not?

I’m in with you, brother. Enough of this crap.
I was assaulted by CNN in my doctor's waiting room the other day. Before I left the office I asked the staff to re-consider their choice of TV stations and let them know that not all of their patients appreciate the viciousness of CNN. For years CNN has been the station of choice in waiting rooms, airport lounges, etc. I'm going to make a point of speaking up more about it. I'm tired of being polite about it.

That said, Flynn was not honest in his communication with Pence. Why wasn’t Pence briefed at the time by the so-called intelligence community? The VP is not privileged but the MSM is?
