For Immediate Release
Under Trumps Executive Orders, No One is Safe. Trump Administration and Paul Ryan Must Declare that Immigrant Youth Will Not Be Deported
Washington, DC Today, news broke that Daniel Ramirez Medina, a beneficiary of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Program (DACA) has been detained by agents with the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency (ICE) for days. Beneficiaries of the DACA program like Daniel have been promised a two year reprieve from deportation and a work permit, have paid nearly $500 in fees every two years, have passed a background check and have met a number of other requirements.
Since the inauguration of Donald Trump, Speaker Paul Ryan told DACA recipient Angelica Villalobos that she did not have to worry about being deported and President Trump himself said that those with DACA did not have to worry.
Greisa Martinez, Advocacy Director of United We Dream and herself a DACA beneficiary said:
Daniel must be given his freedom, now. Donald Trumps executive orders have made everyone a priority for deportation. Under Trumps America, no one is safe. Donald Trump and Republicans must say in no uncertain terms that DACA recipients are safe.
The detention of Daniel Ramirez is further proof that Trumps ICE, who have recently raided and terrorized our communities, set up roadblocks demanding papers from even U.S. citizens and who have deported mothers in spite of living in the U.S. for over 20 years must be reined in.
Mayors and local governments face a choice: will they stand by as out of control agents wreak havoc on their residents lives or will they create and enforce sanctuaries of safety where all those targeted by the Trump regime can live safely and thrive.

“...and who have deported mothers in spite of living in the U.S. for over 20 years must be reined in.”
Note, just cause you’ve lived here 20 years doesn’t
automatically make you a citizen.
Simple really.
Or what?
Deport them all,starting with Muslims
Get the illegal aliens OUT!Build the damned wall!! Where is the WALL!!
ICE says he is self admitted gang member and was contacted when they arrested his dad to be deported.
So he either was ID’ed on sxene and admitted to being a gang member or is in the WA state LEO database as a vwrified gang member which has a series of hirdles/requirements to be listed as such.
Twenty years of robbing banks doesn’t make it any less illegal? Twenty years of using a fraudulent social security number doesn’t make it ok either.
Did he commit a crime?
Brought into country as an infant illegally. Self admitted gang member.
Yes, he came here illegally.
You must be under the false impression that this would happen instantaneously.
“Under Trumps America, no one is safe.”
Under Trump’s America, 100% of citizens are safe.
No, you MUST go home. That is the only MUST.
Unless they went through the naturalization process, learned English and passed the test to become a USA citizen.

> Since the inauguration of Donald Trump, Speaker Paul Ryan told DACA recipient Angelica Villalobos that she did not have to worry about being deported and President Trump himself said that those with DACA did not have to worry.
Ryan spoke before the inauguration. Plus, Trump can still honor the promises given by the Obama regime and deport everyone whose two-year non-deportation promises and illegal fake “work permits” expire.
> Beneficiaries of the DACA program like Daniel have been promised a two year reprieve from deportation
Maybe his two years expired. It certainly is a mystery why the Reuters reporter did not bother to write down whether he still has this status, just that he signed up for the program once and a general description of it.
GTFO !
And please STOP with the media hype — if your mother was NOT an American citizen, just because you are born in this country does NOT mean you belong here (unless, by chance your father WAS an American citizen.) So sick and tired of the radicals continued use of this excuse....these ‘children’ are not necessarily American citizens.
Being apart of DACA absolves him of that crime. And until Trump shuts down the DACA program. He's legal to stay in the U.S. I agree with the author
So, i dont understand why ICE is holding him. I dont see any new crimes in that article
