Why should Americans feel obligated to open our borders for Muslims to move here en masse? Foreign nationals in foreign countries do not have U.S. Constitutional rights. As the Supreme Court has held, an unadmitted and nonresident alien "had no constitutional right of entry to this country as a nonimmigrant or otherwise." (Mandel, 408 U.S. at 762; see Plasencia, 459 U.S. at 32.) Beyond this fact, the president has plenary power over foreign affairs and this includes, under the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952, the power to suspend or impose restrictions on the entry of foreign nationals if he determines their entry “would be detrimental to the interest of the United States.” The president as commander-in-chief is given this power, not New York Times columnists, not wailing Democrats, not the Council on American-Islamic Relations and the many activists groups calling for massive increases in Muslim immigration.
Remarkably many supporters of enhanced vetting to protect Americans have gone into a protective crouch and have not articulated reasons why we should be very careful about admitting more and more Muslims into America.
But we should be concerned.
There are claims that not one Muslim from the seven nations named in Trump’s executive order has been implicated in terrorism. The New York Times in a lead editorial stated that not one person from those nations has engaged in terrorism, despite a Somalian refugee going on a rampage at Ohio State University last year. Seattle-based District Court Judge James Robart asked a federal prosecutor how many citizens of those seven countries were arrested for terrorism since September 11. “Let me tell you, the answer to that is none, as best as I can tell.”

No one has the “right” to be in the US except US citizens. Anyone else, it is a privilege we extend as we choose to, or deny as we choose to.
Immigration policy should serve the interests of citizens first, foremost, always. And it almost never does.
Because for years, NO ONE has told them, “NO!”.

They’re going to have to do extreme vetting on everyone even citizens from friendly nations. That’s okay by me. Hire more American workers for jobs in consulates abroad. Give them veterans preference for hiring. Or station troops with an MOS to deal with extreme vetting in consulates all over the the world. Then the Dems can’t say we’re discriminating against Muslim nations. Use American troops sitting behind a desk as a way of expanding our military presence everywhere. Don’t use Homeland Security people which would only increase the federal worker rolls.

Well they do now thanks to the hack Judges. When Trump went appeal route he handed the power to the Judiciary. So now we are at their mercy. Now they feel emboldened everything Trump does will be dragged through the courts just watch.
A better question is why is it accepted by everyone that it is a Law of Nature that the United States is by virtue of its existence required to absorb the peoples of the world and rid the world of America.
Until you can stop people from your region of the world strapping a bombs on themselves and chopping people’s heads off expect to be inconvenienced.
For the same reason we felt entitled to send thousands of American young men into Germany in 1944: The Germans were losing the war.

And who is better at societal destruction than Muslims?
The KEY in stopping this is to NOT give them any real or perceived standing in the first place. This means highly limited numbers of visa applications and strictly controlled vetting of the limited number of applications that get submitted. Never allow the appearance that when an application is received that it constitutes an agreement or tacit understanding said applicant actually has some standing. CLEARLY SPECIFY THIS IN ANY APPLICATION.
Finally, NEVER, EVER allow an applicant into this country who has not COMPLETED the entire process for ANY REASON.
The ultimate goal of Islam is world domination and then extermination of all non-Islamic peoples.

I don’t know why anyone would be allowed in unless they can prove they have lots of assets or a trade that can support themselves by at least 125% over the poverty line.
Then if they can’t do that it they are on social programs, lot them out.
