No one has the “right” to be in the US except US citizens. Anyone else, it is a privilege we extend as we choose to, or deny as we choose to.
Immigration policy should serve the interests of citizens first, foremost, always. And it almost never does.

when my parents came over, my dad had to prove what he could bring to the table. he also signed a paper that declared he would be deported if he had to go on Welfare.

The Slimes is right .... so long as you redefine “terrorism”. (I.e., anything a muslim does is now redefined as “workplace violence”, a mental health episode, etc.)
