David Gregory: Trump Foreign Policy a 'Disaster'
Legal Insurrection ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 02/14/2017 5:34:50 AM PST by governsleastgovernsbest

Discussing the overnight resignation of National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, CNN's David Gregory managed this morning to work in a broad swipe at the president. Gregory claimed that "the fledgling foreign policy in the Trump administration [has] been a disaster."

Really? Gregory ignored: the widely-praised, weekend-long meetings that Trump just concluded with Japanese PM Abe; Trump's positive conversation with Chinese Premier Xi and the confirmation of the One China policy; the re-establishment of the special relationship with the UK and its PM May, and of course the healing of ties with Israel after years of Obama animosity culminating in his perpetration of an anti-Israel Security Council resolution.

David Gregory: Trump Foreign Policy a ‘Disaster’

Another self appointed Foreign Policy expert. Just blowing up his ego.

I used to watch CNN fairly regularly, but they have gone so far overboard with their Trump hatred, slander, and propaganda, since about the middle of last year I’ve considered the channel to be just a hair above the National Enquirer when it comes to reliable, balanced political news.

This is just the beginning.

I agree.

It is heartbreaking that Flynn brought this on the president.
It feeds the false narrative of a Trump/Putin relationship.

I see the effort to undermine President Trump as a concentrated, two pronged onslaught - attacks from the outside and betrayal from within.

Trump and his appointees need to be guarded about every move, every action, and every word spoken.

We know that Obama cleaned out everyone in the government who was not a supporter of his agenda. So the US spy apparatus is comprised of Obama holdovers and focused on Trump, not on our nations enemies.

It's a safe bet that the monitoring of Flynn's telephone conversation was intentional and directed at him as opposed to him just being caught up in a routine sweep.

Insiders were specifically looking for a way to burn the president and Flynn handed it to them.

If you want a disaster, look at Gregory’s work history.

Have not seen Mr. Gregory for a while. Did he just get out of a stint at the Betty Ford Clinic or maybe the State Psychiatric Hospital perhaps?

25 day president doesn’t have a foreign policy disaster except the one the previous occupant created before leaving office.

Madprof. I was at the VA last week in St. Louis. Main campus. They had Fox news on TV. Thinks are a changing.

“”the fledgling foreign policy in the Trump administration [has] been a disaster.””

Did anyone bother to tell him it may be fledgling but at least it’s not a disaster having been in place for eight years like other unnamed presidents/administrations..

I used to watch too. But they have become unglued and it has become really unwatchable.

The only time it’s worth it to tune in is when there is some natural disaster or catastrophe.

But anything political, I can’t stomach the channel anymore.

Yep, DG should save his breath - it's not like anyone really expects him to know what he's talking about.

And Davide Gregory is the husband of Beth Wilkinson, who ends up representing Sullivan, the Judge in the Flynn case.
