The Oroville Dam is the highest in the nation.
the lake is now at 838 feet ,, the are starting to decrease the outflow and it will be down to ZERO this afternoon
the pic I saw yesterday shows it has eroded even more on the right side
they are going to clear the channel of debris the next few days to get the power plant back so it can start releasing 14K cfs
Date / Time (PST) | Lake Level (feet) | Outflow (cfs) |

About 8 or 9 hours to go at this rate.
I'm sure there are good technical engineering answers to such a relevant question.
But we're talking about the government here, and when all else fails, government does the "Avoid Accountability Shuffle" (the infamous AAS) better any entity on earth.
That’s why they hate and are scared of Trump. He doesn’t accept zero accountability and will blast the perps.
They started lowering flow after 6 am this morning. They expect to have it shut down by tonight. The flow went from 50k cfs to 36k cfs between overnight and 10:00 local time.
They have not posted the outflow rates for the last two hours, but I imagine that things are busy.
The inflow jumped mid morning so perhaps they are going to slow the slow reduction....
1) hover the cursor over the picture and right click your mouse
2) choose "copy image address" (or similar choice depending on your browser)
3) "paste" on blank page - in this case you'd get the address you put in bold red

4) Type
< img src= [Note: make sure there's no space between < and img. I had to put in a space to show you what to type, otherwise it goes into an unrecognizable symbol.]
in front of the address and
>
at the end of the address
5) doing that gets you this
Meant to send Post #1968 on how to post a picture to Repeal The 17th, so check it out if you’d like.
Right click is disabled.
OK, well, you posted the mother of all pictures of the Orville dam so maybe you didn’t need my help after all.
It would be interesting to see the same wide-angle shot taken over the reservoir looking back down at the dam and the spillway to see the lake level across the dam.

What browser are you using,
because the problem is that ‘right click’
is disabled in firefox and IE
and you cannot capture the image info?
Jim, you named the reason I chose Trump from day one. He is a good businessman because he holds his employees accountable and isn’t afraid to fire the incompetent. When all his opponents, right and left, were tearing him down, his skyscrapers said to me, “this man lives according the laws of nature and reason.”. Nothing less will save this country or give us time to recover. Too bad he isn’t focused on the California water and power debacle. But he is President, not Governor.
I’m using Google Chrome. I used Firefox for years and finally gave up last year becsue it was getting too glitchy and didn’t work n certain applications. I’ve been generally happy with Google Chrome.
What I gave you was from using Google Chrome.
the water is now off.....
Check out what’s left of the crippled main spillway at Lake Oroville now that the water is shut off.
Here’s more exclusive video from LiveCopter 3: https://goo.gl/sHgOmE
Thanks. Wow. What a mess.
Looks like the reservoir levels have started to rise again of course. I would think they would start with doing stuff that has to be done regardless if the spillway has to be reopened.
It’s been obliterated. The first hole is deep.
there is still likely a couple hundred cfs leaking out....this was also the case last time they stopped it, on the left side(tower side) you can see muddy water and erosion happening as the angle of the water has changed now falling straight down
I saw part of the hillside fall in the live shot and chunks of dirt falling down..
the right side side seems to be rock..but that left side is a problem
