It's almost a sense of dread, as in, what will happen to us ... like the movie music when the shark is coming ... and it's you Freepers fault for backing the Donald!

“non-political” government employees are in dread about the new administration. Uhhhhhh......wouldn’t that make them political?

It’s pretty obvious that they have too much time on their hands if they are planning this kind of stuff.

two million nonpolitical civil servants who say they work for the public, not a particular presidentIf they are TRULY nonpolitical AND productive employees, they have nothing to worry about, except possible shutdown of a department that is useless.

So in other words, according to the NYT, President Trump’s presence in office is a hate crime against Federal government bureaucrats.
No doubt then they will need their own safe spaces where they can go out and assault Trump appointees and people out on the street, destroy some storefronts and set things on fire.

“Nonpolitical civil servants”........”work for the public”.....
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
They were sure working for the public when they stole from me.
The dirty thieves should be worried.
It’s a culture of accepted thievery.

They need a back-up from all computers, this is government data, paid for by we, the people and they need to be charged if they erase any of it.

There is no such thing as a ‘non-political” civil servant.
In fact, would go far as saying there are NO civil servants. They seem to be more in the genre of wanna be masters as opposed to servants.
EVERYTHING IS POLITICAL WITH “THESE FOLKS”

Half of them are NOT NEEDED and often get in the way of good public service
let them feel some dread, this will help them a lot...by causing them to start looking outside for real jobs...before their gravy train swamp gets Drained!
(some of them are good people, they just are NOT needed in such huge numbers is all, which is why so many of them have nothing...or nothing genuinely useful to do)

"nonpolitical civil servants who say they work for the public, not a particular president"
True, up to a point, but executive departments must follow the policy priorities set by the president. Similarly, if you work for a private corporation, you can say that you are "serving the public," but if you don't follow company policy as set by the CEO, you will be shown the door.

In the private sector that's called sand-bagging. And gets you fired real fast

Oh, good grief! These a-holes have been waging economic warfare against working Americans for their whole career from inside their cushy unionized positions.
Only now they're looking for an opportunity to blow the whistle? How about all the crimes you did and saw under the previous administration?
Most of these commies would serve better ground up for dog food or fertilizer.

At the Treasury Department, civil servants are quietly gathering information about whistle-blower protections as they polish their resumes. "Hello? Some of my colleagues are planning to slow walk their work as slow as they can without getting fired..."
