Chancellor Angela Merkel is setting aside €90m (£76m) in taxpayers’ money to create a fund which will pay migrants to withdraw their asylum applications and leave Germany voluntarily. The handouts will form part of a 16-point plan to speed up the removal of rejected asylum seekers, after Tunisian migrant Anis Amri murdered a Polish lorry driver, hijacked his vehicle and drove it into a Christmas market in Berlin while awaiting deportation.
U.S. president Donald Trump told The Times that Merkel made a “catastrophic mistake” when she opened the doors to an unlimited number of migrants in 2015. Her vice-chancellor, Sigmar Gabriel, admitted that his superior had underestimated how difficult it would be to integrate migrants on such a grand scale, and that Germany had been plunged into a kulturkampf, or “cultural war”, as a result.

We already do something like this in many socialist-controlled cities in the US, with rent control. For instance, in the Bay Area.
Owners of larger apartment developments are pressured to set aside a number of them for “low income” renters, with rents a fraction of market rate. No subsidies, just way cheaper rent.
So you have some people paying $200 mo. for years, next door to people paying $4k a month.
When the landlord tries to evict, for any reason, he must pay the $200 tenant $10k or more to move, but not the $4k tenant.

Take away their jobs. Take away the freebies. Let them pay for the bus ride home. Either that or they can get out the way they got in. They can walk sneakily to and across the border.
She’s already paid millions to get them to come to Germany and millions more every month to support them and keep them there and now she’s going to pay them to leave.

The Times they are a Changing
There is a wide spectrum, which few people grasp (even Germans).
On one side are the Syrians. Oddly, Assad over the years put a lot of money into craftsmanship training and university operations. Statistical numbers show that roughly sixty-odd percent of Syrians arrive with enough training or capability that they can fit into the German work environment with only German language classes required (figure 9-to-12 months). The remainder of that particular group (Syrians) are mostly younger folks who were either in training or college, and could be brought into German courses/college to wrap up their training.
Then you get into the lesser groups Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, etc....with fairly less training or university degrees.
Finally, you get to the North African crowd...where it’s very limited in terms of training or university time. I saw some statistic last year that indicated roughly five-percent of the North Africans would pass through the normal visa-test procedure. For most of them, it’s a total waste to attempt to come...other than stocking shelves at some grocery, or selling illicit drugs....there’s no future in Germany.
Never once did the Merkel crowd want to stand up and divide the groups into the haves/have nots. At some point in 2014, the various groups realized that Syrians had a higher approval rate for visas...so the fake Syrian visa sales jumped into turbo. Some folks sold a bunch of the passports...noting people mostly as 13-16 years old. Being a juvenile meant a lot of pluses. The Germans only got upgraded on technology to recognize bogus passports in the last year. So somewhere in the mix...you may have 10-to-20 percent fake Syrians.
But then you come to the final issue. A lot of these North African countries absolutely don’t want their citizens back. As far as they see it....these were the corrupted folks who may have become radicalized while in Germany. Germans are standing there in a daze....having a lot of problems convincing these countries to just take the failed visa applicants back. Up front, the Germans don’t want to admit that it’s a very low passage rate for such folks for visas. There is no real plan B for this group of folks....other than hoping that bribing such countries in some way will help. Don’t dare suggest to the Germans that bribing is stupid and only makes the problem worse in the end.
