A top lawyer for internet retailer Amazon is taking a victory lap for the company’s role in the Ninth Circuit Court’s decision to retain the temporary restraining order halting President Trump’s travel ban.
“Proud of @AGOWA, the Amazon legal team that helped on the case, and amici — who all made today’s 9th Circuit ruling possible,” David Zapolsky, Amazon general counsel, wrote Thursday night on Twitter.
It’s unknown what precise role, if any, Zapolsky’s team played in the appeals court decision.
But there has been bad blood between Trump and Amazon owner Jeff Bezos for over a year.
On the campaign trail, Trump said the internet entrepreneur and newspaper owner would have “problems” if Trump was elected.
“I have respect for Jeff Bezos, but he bought the Washington Post to have political influence, and I got to tell you, we have a different country than we used to have,” said Trump at a campaign stop in February 2016.
“He owns Amazon. He wants political influence so that Amazon will benefit from it. That’s not right. And believe me, if I become president, oh, do they have problems. They’re going to have such problems,” Trump said of Bezos.

Creeps like this do this because they can hire them cheap, don’t have to pay certain Federal Taxes on them. They also talk them into applying for Legal status.
If they leave their employer the process starts all over, so in effect they are forced to remain there until the process is completed.

This is Donald Trump he is claiming victory over. He has witnessed some strategic maneuvering and thought it was defeat. He and the rest of them, especially the “judges” are gonna get that funny feeling of weightlessness when they find the solid ground on which they stand has become a very deep hole.

The more you buy, the lower the price. They group the orders by area and as their shipping prices lower, your price goes down.
I have bought a few things from them. as good or better than Amazon.

Looks like my Amazon purchases will be directed elsewhere. may be miniscule but every dollar of lost sales from every one time purchaser can have an effect.

I just emailed Amazon, pointed to how they proudly note that I’ve been a customer since 2003. I pointed out that their boss just screwed the pooch with me. I also told them about several purchases i had recently made from Walmart and not Amazon. Have a nice day.
