More than 100 people have been reported killed during a six-day strike by police in the Brazilian state of Espirito Santo, as hundreds of troops patrolled streets attempting to keep order with schools and businesses closed and public transport frozen.
The Army mobilized airborne troops and armored vehicles on Thursday to reinforce roughly 1,200 soldiers and federal police trying to contain the chaos in Espirito Santo, a coastal state north of Rio de Janeiro.
Most of the violence was centered in Vitoria, the state capital and a wealthy port city ringed by golden beaches and filled with mining and petroleum companies.

If you look closely, the veneer of civilization appears to be remarkably thin.
How many would behave badly if they thought there would be no penalties for bad behavior? Would the ugly side of human nature emerge?
Are there triggers of mans savage nature that could cause a break out of this thin veneer, wicked and barbaric as ever?
How quickly might we transition from civil to barbaric, and what events could cause it?

Anarchy reigns
Civilized behavior is as thin as the paper our laws governing our society are written on.
The ultimate fruit of gun control.

LOL, yeah that happens to me more often than not.
Is this more or less dying because of the strike?
Also worth noting is how little time passed between the perceived absence of the thin blue line and the outbreaks of lawlessness.

Title :" Brazil threatens striking police with prosecution as death toll tops 120"

If accurate, the toll would be more than six times the homicide rate in the state last year.( currently esitmated at 122 fatalities )
This is why stocking up is needed. At some point, if it’s not safe, a person needs to stay home, and be prepared to defend hearth and home.
