The Clintons ditch two of the most controversial parts of their charity foundation as they quit Haiti and admit donations plunged amid controversy over Hillary
The Clinton Foundation is plotting its next step, shedding two of its most politically problematic
programs, along with the annual Clinton Global Initiative A defiant Bill Clinton wrote a letter this week about the charity's future, lambasting the 'unprecedented' and 'misleading' political attacks
The charity's president confirmed that donations were down last year, as the foundation was at the center of pay-to-play political attacks on Hillary Clinton
The Clinton Foundation is shedding two of its most politically problematic programs, while Bill Clinton is asking for supporters' advice on where to take his family's charity arm next.
Being spun into separate entities are the foundation's initiatives in the country of Haiti, along with the Clinton Giustra Enterprise Partnership, named after a billionaire backer of the couple.
Additionally, the Clinton Global Initiative, the annual meet-and-greet in New York City between celebrities, rock stars, activists, dignitaries and Clintons, officially closed up shop in recent weeks.
In an interview with the New York Times, Clinton Foundation President Donna Shalala admitted that donations dropped thanks to the political climate of last year. 'Last year was a tough year,' she admitted, 'because people were beating on us with nonsense.'
While Shalala confirmed that donations were down, she added that some of the decreased funding was because of voluntary restriction the charity abided by so to not complicate Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign.
Additionally, because the charity's biggest stars Bill and Chelsea Clinton were spending so much time on the campaign trial, they didn't have room in their schedules for fundraising.

How can this be???,James Carville spit and hissed at us on TV, and said people would die without the good works of the Clinton charitable works. What the heck???
And how can the pull out of a poor nation such as Haiti, and still carry out their prime directive of charity and helping the poor and all that????
Scent of pizza wafting ever more strongly...
It’s all about the money.
have to cut the caviar and blow down from 7x/week to 6x/week! awww!!
LOL...we all know what happened in Haiti...and why they closed that account...
And Sessions should look into it, along with a lot of other things...A.G. has his hands full...
Any investigation into CFF MUST contain an immediate injunction against the Clintons winding down their grifting operation and spiriting the cash to countries from whence it cannot be retrieve.
I suggest immediate seizure of assets and control over any and all financial and legal efforts to deconstruct it, pending imminent US Government legal proceedings.
Stop the flow, follow the damn money - there are hundreds of millions of those little greedy, grafty dollars.
This foundation is a gravy train for the entire Clinton cabinet and other assorted hangers-on. What a pathetic life that must be - spending your career as a Clinton flunky.
Shalala deserves the shillelagh.
What a false article giving false reasons for this. Clinton is out of a job, if these organizations bearing her name were doing such good work for good reasons, why would you dump them?
FELONS!!!!!...... Cuff em Dano!
I mean now that Haiti is all perfect now, they don’t need support. And those $millons sent to help Haiti will look much nicer in hilLIARy’s pocket.
INVESTIGATE, Mr. AG Sessions! ASAP!
Haitian pizza at a million a slice.
The train was suppose to turn around and return the favors after she won.
She didn’t.
Could we see what was collected for Haiti and what was spent? It would provide valuable insight into their ability to lead and manage anything.
They were beating you with common sense.
And they didn’t do a damn thing for Haitians.
