"You've been through a lot, he told six smiling members of the Assali family, and congratulated them for their "perseverance."
"It's nice to have you here," he added. "Thank you for wanting to come to Pennsylvania."
This was their second attempt to reach relatives in this Lehigh County city. More than a week earlier, brothers Basam and Hassan Assali; their wives, Jozfin and Jurfeet; and Hassan's two children had been turned away at Philadelphia International Airport. All had valid visas, but President Trump's travel ban had rendered the documents meaningless. Back they went to Syria.

Can’t wait until he’s gone.
I’m hoping Scott Wagner can do away with Wolfie in the next election.
The governor of our commonwealth is setting a new low for a bar that Ed Rendell had already sunk through the floor. We need a strong Republican candidate to run against him but am not holding my breath waiting for that to happen.
/src on/The Allentown steel factories sure are short of labor./src off.
So these folks are going to send their kids to school with the Governors kids?
They live in HIS neighborhood?
So what if your daughter gets gang raped. This guy needs a photo op!
I have a theory that needs to be tested.
Have you noticed that whenever you see an article that’s authored by two or more people, it almost always comes out to be pure unsubstantiated anti Trump Irish BS. It’s like the article has been written in reverse, starting with the ending.
Editor:Okay, I want you two kids to write me an article about a Muslim family that was rebuked at the airport because of Trump.
Two Yound Reporters in unison:Yes, Sir, we’ll get right on it, Sir.
A week later.
Two Young Reporters in Unison:Sir, we found a couple that claim that they are from Syria, and apparently sent home at the airport.
Editor:You got their names? Where were they going?
TYRIU:Pennsylvania.
Editor:GReat. I know the governor. Get their names, and I’ll see if we can arrange for them to fly back, and I’ll see if the governor will pay their way. We’ll get a photographer there and everything.
TYRIU:Will do, Sir.
he will have them signed up for SNAP, Section 8, unemployment, SSI, EITC and utilities assistance and Obamaphone within a week. Job? It’s not even in their world.

Millions of needy Americans but the leftist governor of PA chooses to spend his money (I personally doubt he used his own money) on refuges. It makes a nice photo op but speaks volumes about his priorities.
>
We should all be on the same page: He’s entitled to spend his own $$ as he sees fit.
Question is: Will be continue to spend his own $$ for the welfare they will no doubt be immediately signing up for??
Rhetorical, I know.
Elected officials need to look after the concerns of the people in their district, not people in other countries.
But this is really about trashing Trump, and making nice with muzzies who are coming here to reproduce big time and become a voting block for democrats.
Someone needs to follow up on this story. Check a few weeks, a couple months etc. find out how these refugees are doing, if they are on the dole, what services they are using etc
As a matter of fact, I think a study should be done on all refugees admitted the past 15 years
Allentown
Billy Joel
Well we’re living here in Allentown
And they’re closing all the factories down
Out in Bethlehem they’re killing time
Filling out forms
Standing in line
Well our fathers fought the Second World War
Spent their weekends on the Jersey Shore
Met our mothers in the USO
Asked them to dance
Danced with them slow
And we’re living here in Allentown
But the restlessness was handed down
And it’s getting very hard to stay
Well we’re waiting here in Allentown
For the Pennsylvania we never found
For the promises our teachers gave
If we worked hard
If we behaved
So the graduations hang on the wall
But they never really helped us at all
No they never taught us what was real
Iron and coal
And chromium steel
And we’re waiting here in Allentown
But they’ve taken all the coal from the ground
And the union people crawled away
Every child has a pretty good shot
To get at least as far as their old man got
But something happened on the way to that place
They threw an American flag in our place
Well I’m living here in Allentown
And it’s hard to keep a good man down
But I won’t be giving up today
And it’s getting very hard to stay
And we’re living here in Allentown

News of Big and Generous Welcomes like this will get publicized back in the mother country and encourage even more refugees to come here. Which of course is what the Democrats want. Its all about increasing their voter base and creating a permanent majority.
These people are insane.
I guess he’s tossed off his sheep’s clothing.
Politicians seldom send their own kids to public schools.
Boy—you’ve said it!!!!!!!!!!!!
This guys a tool!!!
Wow! I'm impressed!
He paid for their airfare out of his own pocket and welcomed them into his home!
This guy puts his money where his mouth is! A stand up man with character.
