Don;t like it , tried it once in my early 20’s. Don;t want the crap in my body, wife doe snot use it and we have brought our kids up hating drugs too.
Had a sister who smoked it and ended up on heroin why she is where she is. She told me that it was just weed, but then got more used to it and wanted a bigger buzz. She then went to Acid, LSD, and through everything to the top one of heroin.
Great, the education system is bad enough, and now teachers are getting high.
Is it a wonder why the millennium generation is screwed up, and for the most part just plain dumb.
Sadly..both are damaged goods in the long run...many perform well for a time...it is a very sad situation regarding. Inebriation in general life...
After reading this article and seeing these folks using pot like they do and saying it helps them focus, I have to wonder if they’re smoking marijuana or some kind of stimulant. When I wasted a few of my years long, long ago smoking the stuff, focus on getting to your destination was lost, the mind wondered when under the influence. I couldn’t imagine using it while trying to get work done.
Being part of the “Dazed and [deliberately] Confused” generation of the 70’s, I knew kids who regularly got stoned at school - And observed that as a result of this behavior they were typically dysfunctional regardless of their state of intoxication.

COMPLETELY unacceptable.
Well, YMMV - but I’ll take NONE OF THE ABOVE while they’re at work and teaching/indoctrinating other people’s children.

At Christmas time, our family was all gathered around. Wife, kids, brother, his son and son’s girlfriend.
The nephew and girlfriend said they were gonna get married. On 4/20. We all smirked. Rolled our eyes. We knew why they picked this date.
Except my wife. She didn’t know what 4/20 symbolized. We explained it to her.
“Ohhhh.”

I do NOT want public employees, pilots, cabdrivers, surgeons, teachers etc to be stoned. This is getting ridiculous.
Additionally, potheads in general violate other people’s rights, the same as tobacco smokers.
I happen to love rock and roll. Can’t go to concerts, though, without getting stoned against my will.
When I lived in a condo, couldn’t sit outside on my deck. The neighbors on their deck were always toking, and I was downwind.
They were always DUI, too.
Plus, pot-legal cities are cesspools with the panhandlers.
It would be interesting to compile a drug-death-related body count of National Lampoon’s “humor” craftsmen.

Agree. It’s the “culture” of those who “go about their daily routines while under the influence” that needs to be addressed.

It’s not just in NY.
A former friends wife is a school teacher in TX and never stopped puffing the weed. The now 50 something year old still tokes. I don’t think the pot is the reason for the low NEA IQ she exhibits. Back during the Clinton/Monica fiasco, she defended Bill: it’s not sex! Really? What is it, like a handshake? I shake you husbands hand and you, oh never mind.
When asked why she voted democrat, she offered, “oh I don’t know, I’ve always voted democrat”.
Well, I said “that takes the decision making process completely out of it!”
And if you knew the conservative county in central TX where this “teacher” is employed you’d be surprised.
