(CNN)Senate Democrats said they plan to hold the floor of the chamber for the next 24 hours, leading up to the vote to confirm President Donald Trump's choice to be education secretary, in hopes of drawing enough attention to the issue to derail Betsy DeVos' nomination.
While the Democrats decision to work overnight adds publicity to the topic, the party does not have the numbers to block a final confirmation vote and DeVos is still expected to be voted on for final confirmation Tuesday.

It’s a proud day for the America-Hating NEA!
Actually, if we lose this one, I’m not going to panic. The NEA had BETTER be careful what they wish for, though. ;)

We are not going to lose the vote. The Dems can makes fools of themselves but in the end they can not win and will eventually lose even more power

If DeVos is not confirmed I would love to see the position left unfilled, and begin shutting down Education. It is the most unnecessary of all cabinet level agencies.

Of that I have no doubt! I’m just saying, if we HAVE to throw one away, this would be my fight to lose. Temporarily.

Actually, if we lose this one, Im not going to panic. This is where McConnell needs to earn his money.
If he can't hold the rest of the republicans together and push this nomination through he should resign his leadership position.
Hopefully he will be motivated enough to roll over the democrats and make them eat their words.

If I heard the last segment of Rush’s show correctly, I THINK I heard him say Collins and Merkowski have changed their votes to AYE!?! Can anyone confirm?

You don’t lose any fight.
You do not give these America hating loser sons of bitches even one millimeter of ground.
You kick them in the nuts, then knee them in the face, then kick them in the nuts again.
To Hell with them.

Trump just needs to float the rumor that if they vote down DeVos, Sarah Palin will be nominated next.

McGavin999 :" The Dems can makes fools of themselves but in the end they can not win and will eventually lose even more power "
Remember when obama told Repubbies to get in the backseat ?
How does it feel, schumer ?
The DemoRAT party has become the party of : NO !
No Congrssional movement !
No Legislation compromise !
No understanding why they were rejected by American voters !
... and they STILL DON'T HAVE A CLUE !

My wife spoke with a teacher of 30 years yesterday.
The teacher told her that she supports De Vos because the “professionals” have screwed it up so bad any change is bound to be good.
