WASHINGTON, Feb 5 (Reuters) - A U.S. appeal court late on Saturday denied a request from the U.S. Department of Justice to immediately restore a immigration order from President Donald Trump barring citizens from seven mainly Muslim countries and temporarily banning refugees.
The court ruling dealt a further setback to Trump, who has denounced the judge in the state of Washington who blocked his Jan. 27 order on Friday. In tweets and comments to reporters, the president has insisted he will get the ban reinstated.

The problem is Sessions is needed in the Senate to vote for other of Trump’s cabinet nominees.
I tend to agree....in addition, the courts seem to be erroneously conferring US civil rights on foreign nationals.
On a purely cynical transactional level, if foreign nationals are entitlted to the same rights as Americans then they should be subject to US tax law from the moment they set foot on our soil.

The judge who executed this order needs to be impeached and removed for putting Americans in danger by intentional helping ISIS.

Trump will easily nominate 3 justices including this one. Immigration and a host of of liberal agenda items will be on the chopping block. Abortion will be outlawed in this term.

Trump can issue another EO tomorrow. If the Federal judiciary on the Marxist Coast wants to spend the rest of their careers hearing challenges to EOs that follow the plain language of a Federal statute, then let them have at it.
And what I know about what Grassley said was that he was talking about the SC nomination.. I know there is worry about Sessions’ appointed replacement but do you honestly think an Alabama Republican Governor is going to appoint a replacement who will not engage? If he does appoint an engaging replacement, the “wait til Gorsuch” argument falls apart, IMO.

Well, they haven’t actually ruled yet. They’ve just decided not to overturn the Washington so-called judge’s TRO prior to their ruling. I hold out some hope that the 9th will rule correctly once they actually do rule. There have been a few times when they’ve bucked expectations and made sensible rulings.
