A group of middle school students from the Parkway School District got into a fight on a school bus when they started arguing with one student who was wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat.
"As a parent it's so upsetting," said Christina Cortina, the mother of the 12-year old who was wearing the Trump hat, and who was suspended.
"I feel like my son was made an example of, it was a tricky situation, it was politically charged."
In cell phone video of the incident sent to News 4, the students are heard arguing over President Trump's proposed Mexican border wall. The situation quickly escalates to pushing and what looks likes some punches thrown.
A Parkway District spokesperson says the incident was investigated and all the students involved have faced "consequences."
The spokesperson adds the district is also working to sit the students down and reach an peaceful understanding.
Id love to get out of here..but born and raised in LA, all of my family is here..this state used to be great..Reagan LOVED California, its why he had his library built in Simi Valley, if he were alive today he would not recognize this state its that far gone unfortunately
So the victim has to be punished as well as the perps.
Pole dancers have IQs higher than middle school principals.
My thoughts exactly. Sweet looking kid.

If you see nothing wrong with this being in the classroom hit the back button
. If you think this shouldnt be in the classroom I urge you to send an Email or share a phone call with the school board. You will also find the Social Media Accounts in this post.
They probably work harder too.
I'm sure the students didn't face any consequences...
I just sent them a nasty letter.
You made a great decision to allow your son to be trained early in life, while the child is still fully flexible and open minded. He has a weapon for life, a set of knowledge and a sense of self control that his part of him.
I never advertise my politics either. Their bullying, however, is why they were taken by surprise so at the election: they can make us not want to display our views, but when it’s time to vote, they find out how we really feel.
“Ditto in the Pacific Northwest”
?? I’m in the Pacific Northwest and lots of people around here openly show conservative leanings (pro-life stickers, etc.), although the MAGA caps tend to get covered up by hunting gear. Big difference between Puget Sound and the larger part of the state east of the Cascades. Eastern OR and Idaho, too.
I’ve never lived through such a time as this, where one has to be so aware of what others may think of my clothing, or my expression of politics. This is close to the danger of wearing the ‘wrong’ Gang Color’ when in a certain part of town.
As a kid, I already knew to avoid those hot spots.
They were hot spots. The ‘danger’ was not almost anywhere outside of the house as is the case now.
We as a society will move past this moment of hypersensitivity, but it’s going to take about ten to twelve years for the primal behavior to burn itself out.
I was reading some article earlier someone saying, what did he expect wearing the hat? I loved a comment written:
“The kid was ‘asking for it’ wearing a Trump hat.
But you can’t blame rape on what a woman is wearing. Got it.
“...the students are heard arguing over President Trump’s proposed Mexican border wall. The situation quickly escalates to pushing and what looks like some punches were thrown.”
Here’s what clearly happened: A bunch of kids of unnamed nationality, incensed that America might enforce American immigration laws, outnumbered and assaulted one American kid.
Here’s what needs to happen: the assaulters need to be identified, and their entire families’ immigration status needs to be checked.
Then deport ‘em.
Mrs. Marty Feldman there, needs to be bullied to see how it feels.

The mother should sue the school and home school her son.
Straight up crazy eyes. Tattooed, wild hair, leather books and tights.....
I bet that drawing of “The Pieta” on the wall she did in her “break year” ho’ing around Europe before getting her art degree.
