Full title: 'Homeland' takes a left turn? New season focuses on Muslim civil rights, female president-elect's CIA battles

The Showtime drama "Homeland" has shocked many longtime fans by taking an apparent left turn.

The sixth season, which premiered on Sunday [January 15], features former CIA officer Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) disillusioned by the war on terrorism and returning home to the United States with daughter Frannie to head up a non-profit in Brooklyn that defends American Muslims...

Meanwhile, the "Homeland" episode also introduced a female President-elect Elizabeth Keane (Elizabeth Marvel), who questioned the hard line approach against domestic terror cells and pushed for a "demilitarized CIA." ...

Former "Homeland" fan ... Rush Limbaugh noticed the change ...

Limbaugh concluded, "I said, 'Wow, I wonder how the audience is going to react to this?'" ...

The writers are stuck with a character with liberal policies that remind the show’s viewers why they hated Hillary! So much. The show is doomed to declining ratings.

You know, when a show that has always been lame continues to be lame, that’s one thing. No loss there. But when a show starts off like Homeland did, and then completely falls off the turnip truck, that is a disappointment. I’m going to try and give this season a shot, because of how good the show once was, but it’s not looking good so far.

Actually 24 Legacy on Fox is turning out to be pretty good—a nice replacement for PC Homeland IMHO.

Agreed. 24 not so bad so far...

Homeland: Anti-Israel, Anti-American.

Actually, I thought last week’s episode — in which Peter Quinn threw an obnoxious female TV reporter down a flight of stone stairs and then took out a gun and shot a creep who was throwing rocks at the house — was pretty good.

Defending the Muslim punk that publishes U.S. soldiers getting slaughtered, Carry hopes to enlighten the idiot by saying “We got stupid crazy after 9-11.”

Sorry, Showtime’s decision to piss on the U.S. and Israel while shedding tears for Islam is not something I’m willing to pay for.
