Sarah Silverman calls for military overthrow of 'fascist' Donald Trump
The Washington Times ^ | 2-2-2017 | Victor Morton

Actress Sarah Silverman called for a military coup against President Trump on Wednesday night in the midst of violent riots in Berkeley, California.

In a screaming all-capital-letters tweet exhorted her almost 10 million followers to “wake up & join the resistance,” a term from World War II that anti-Trump rioters have used to define themselves.

She then outlined her preferred scenario for the violent overthrow of the legitimately elected government, still in all capital letters.

Do I get to chose the way we make an example of her?

She would “not like that.”

We lived real close to Shiloh when I was a little kid & my
parents made a point to carry me over to the battlefield on
several occasions. The Bloody Pond was a very dark, dark
old blood red-brownish back then where men from both sides
crawled to wash off their wounds or to die. I’m 70; and the
color faded gradually over time, but it is still a bit blood
tinged - or was last time I was there which has been a while. - My sixth great grandparents did have several slaves
down in the Georgia Territory before it became a state. My
fifth great grandfather married a Cherokee woman & his
mother pitched a fit. His Daddy gave him an early
inheritance, several thousand dollar’s worth of gold. He
& his wife got on a riverboat and came up to a town on the
Tennessee River. (That’s why we ended up in Tennessee, so I
guess anything has a purpose - even human orneriness.) I
guess orneriness runs in our family. I wonder what she
would have done if my 5th great grandfather had married one
of the female slaves. :o)

I think you should arm yourself, and put your head on a swivel.

Be polite. Be professional. Be prepared to kill anyone you meet.

Hey, Sarah Silverman, it’s never going to happen. Don’t mix your delusions with reality. Better seek some psychiatric help for you sure need it.

My family migrated from Virginia west to Illinois and down though Missouri into Oklahoma. They were dirt poor and so was my family. I was born 1n 1938 so I know what poor was.

Yeah. I know what poor was and is, too. Never really
bothered me. Daddy always built our little houses with his
own hands, dug our toilets himself, threw in some powdered
lime, then built a nice creosoted little house over top of
it. - When I was 9 yrs. old, he accepted the offer of his
supervisor at Milan Arsenal to go with his whole crew down
to Redstone in Huntsville, AL when the Saturn V program
first geared up. He was a carpenter & also helped build some
of the early launching pads for the smaller test rockets,
along with repairing & maintaining the buildings on the
arsenal. (They used to pack dry ice around the launch pads
to keep them from igniting from the rockets.) I thought
that he didn’t know what dry ice was; but I was the one
who looked foolish. When we were living in Gibson County
in W. TN, it was sort of hand to mouth sometimes. I was
born in 1945 and am sure I’ve told you stuff more than once;
but at 70 it goes with the senility territory around here.
:o) (I’se not fat, I’se jest FLUFFY & I’se not senile,
I’se jest forgetful.) Keep on hanging on and don’t allow
anything threatening to gain on you! Momma used to cook
dried beans, potatoes & cornbread every day. It was okay;
but I looked forward to the school lunches. She took a lot
of pride in sending my 35 cents a day to school for the
hot lunch every day. She worked at a cotton mill back then.
After we moved to down near Huntsville, AL & when I
graduated from high school; I went to work on a summer job
at Redstone in the valve unit typing work orders for the
Saturn V project. (They used symbols that were on snap-in
IBM Selectric typewriter balls that I had never seen before
in my life, nor did I have any idea what they were called.
When the Saturn V rocket launched a few years later; I was
SO worried that I must surely have loused something up that
would scrap the whole mission. Von Braun kept an eye on
the whole project and rode a golf cart type thing around
the floor below us where the welders had all the sections
of the rocket spread out.

I doubt that Sarah Sliverman and her fellow comedians could overthrow a wet paper bag.

Thus, the call for a military coup.

PING!

Momma used to cook dried beans, potatoes & cornbread every day. It was okay;

We had the same cook. Sometimes mom would substitute homemade hot rolls for corn bread and we had corn instead. To this day I still like to mix the beans, fried potatoes, and corn in a bowl, mostly because my older brother would not let any of his food touch on his plate, so I would stir mine together for fun.

I had a quarter to buy lunch at the local café, no such thing as school lunch, when I was in high school. Ten cents for a burger, ten cents for a bowl of stew and five cents for a coke. If I washed dishes during lunch the burger was free.
