Exclusive: The letter Russell Moore will send Trump about the refugee order
Washington Post ^ | 1/30/2017 | Russell Moore

Dear President Trump and Vice President Pence,

In June 2016, the Southern Baptist Convention reaffirmed its decades-long commitment to care for and minister to refugees. The resolution states, “Scripture calls for and expects God’s people to minister to the sojourner.” Southern Baptist churches throughout the United States lead the way in carrying out this calling.

The church’s commitment to welcoming the stranger has long been reflected in our country’s policies toward those fleeing persecution in their home countries. A commitment given voice through the inscription on our Statue of Liberty, “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.” Indeed, as our country recalled on Friday, one of our nation’s darkest chapters was our refusal to allow European Jews fleeing the Third Reich to find safe harbor on American soil.

Southern Baptists need to kick this 5th column commie out of their organization if they wish to stay relevant.

AFAIC, Russell Moore might as well be Hillary or somebody. He has no importance or relevance to me.

The people coming in through Ellis Island were vetted and some turned away. My ancestors from Ireland came through New Orleans. hmmmm. maybe the vetting bar was lower there.

Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s. Render to God that which is God’s.

Borders and Immigration policy fall under Caesar’s jurisdiction. So focus on other stuff. We have US citizens who need help. There’s plenty of work to do. There is no need to go scooping up detritus from every third world country in the world and smuggling them into the US in contravention of US law.

Our Baptist Church here in Indy had a vote last week as to whether to affiliate with the SBC. The vote was against. I didn’t support the move exclusively because of Russell Moore.

Not a valid comparison. No Jews were likely to try to dominate, enslave or kill us if we declined to convert. We would have been safe had we let them in, and should have done so. Can't say that for Muslims.

Please, please come in and rape our daughters in the name of compassion.

This man is why people don’t go to church.

“Scripture calls for and expects God’s people to minister to the sojourner.”

A sojourner is someone traveling through you land temporarily. Not someone thousands of miles away.

You don’t need to imagine. The refugee resettlement business is big business in the USA. We’re talking a billion dollar industry here and it’s primarily churches (Catholic and Lutheran) that are involved in this business. They call it “charity” but last time I checked, “charity” was not a profit driven endeavor.

“...Southern Baptists need to kick this 5th column commie out of their organization...”

Amen, to that.
However, what he said is true, IF we were just dealing with a “sojourner” or an oppressed and displaced family.
Unfortunately, that is not the case. What we have here is a Trojan Horse disguised as the above but full of muslim warriors intent on cutting off his very own head off and displacing any form of Christianity here with Islam and Sharia Law. He needs to dig his head out of his azz while he still has one, and realize what they really are.

Good for you and your Church!
If the SBC starts to see the affiliations drip down maybe the talking heads at the top will start to focus on why that might be? Doubt it though.

I believe the Southern Baptists are among those religious organizations that benefit substantially ($$) from the refugee resettlement industry.

What I wonder is, whether they consider helping Muslims convert to Christianity as part of their duties toward these poor refugees? Or do they just take the money and run?

No. End the war so the refugees can go home.

Help them rebuild. That is the task ahead. The real refugees will be going home, and it will be the jihadis looking for a refuge and a place to hide. We need to make sure that place isn’t Europe and it isn’t America, North or South.

Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner!

Cut the funding for these organizations doing this and watch all their "caring" disappear.

Exactly.

What would Hillary say?

What would Hillary do?

Two questions I have 0.0000 interest in.
