Neil Gorsuch is the first member of his family chosen for a seat on the Supreme Court, but he isn’t the only Gorsuch nominated by a U.S. president to a key government post.
His mother, Anne Gorsuch, served as President Ronald Reagan’s first Environmental Protection Agency administrator and the first female leader in the agency’s history. But her short, tumultuous tenure was marked by sharp budget cuts, rifts with career EPA employees, a steep decline in cases filed against polluters and a scandal over the mismanagement of the Superfund cleanup program that ultimately led to her resignation in 1983.
Anne Gorsuch — like Reagan then and President Trump today — was a firm believer that the federal government was too big, too powerful and too eager to issue regulations that restricted businesses.
As a result, she slashed the EPA’s budget by nearly a quarter and, according to a Washington Post story at the time, boasted that she had reduced the thickness of the book of clean water regulations from six inches to a half inch.

This story makes me believe that Mr. Schlafley (Phyllis’ son) remarks about Gorsuch don’t so much reflect someone who is not pro-life or is unwilling to overturn Roe V. Wade as unConstitutional, but someone who is keenly aware that anything you say or do can and will be used against you in these circles, and that the abortion question is a mine field.
He has sound underpinnings. He is NOT a David Souter or Anthony Kennedy as far as I , or anybody, can know.
Compare to Trump’s pick for the Department of Education, Sally Yates.
This article opens the door for claiming that the actions of the Parent explicitly direct the actions of the Child. Can anyone say Chelsea?
The Superfund thing was a partisan Dem attack on the future Justice’s mother. It needs to be exposed instead of swept under the rug.

Good. His mother has been crapped on by the Liberals for years. That helps solidifies in my mind and he will probably have resolve
It was pure Alinskyism, making her a personal target, and cutting off her support network. It escalated so that even Joe Coors recommended she throw in the towel.
