Conservatives were effusive in their praise on Tuesday evening for President Donald Trumps choice for the U.S. Supreme Court, Neil Gorsuch.
- Faith & Freedom Coalition Chairman Ralph Reed said:
President Trump won 81 percent of the evangelical vote in no small measure because he made an ironclad pledge that if elected he would fill the vacancy on the US Supreme Court with a strict constructionist who would respect the Constitution and the rule of law, not legislate from the bench. We never doubted then-candidate Trumps sincerity or commitment, and by nominating Judge Gorsuch, he has now kept that promise.
- Michael A. Needham, CEO of Heritage Action for America, said:
Judge Neil Gorsuch is a nominee very much in the mold of the late Justice Antonin Scalia. President Trump deserves credit for fulfilling his campaign pledge by nominating an individual who will, based on his record, interpret the text of the Constitution
- Tea Party Patriots President and co-founder Jenny Beth Martin said:
Tea Party Patriots and our network of supporters and grassroots activists across the country thank President Donald Trump for nominating Neil Gorsuch to be our next Supreme Court Justice.
- Americans for Limited Government President Rick Manning said:
President Trumps wise and thoughtful selection of Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court should be respected by the Senate
- Former Senator and presidential candidate Rick Santorum said:
Judge Gorsuch has proven himself to be one of the great legal scholars of his generation. His rulings on the Circuit Court have shown that he understands our Founders intent and will rule with the strict constructionist legal mindset our nation needs.
- Carl Anderson of the Knights of Columbus said:
We applaud the presidents nomination of Judge Neil Gorsuch

“...all these clowns who trashed Trump every second now want to get on board and pretend they never said a mean disgusting thing about him”
I believe Trump is making a list, and checking it twice....”
My understanding of this man is he is a strict Constitutionalist.
Just think that one year ago it was an obnoxious talking point on FR that he was going to appoint his sister.
I love Trump. He doesn’t buckle. He is strong willed and a man of courage. He’a a Gemini. They counter punch, and let you know it. They may have a dark side now and then, but they’re survivors.
I think Ryan, McConnell and Trump will grow closer over time.
ONe more thing. I have to say this. I am quite sure...quite sure, that there was widespread voter fraud. I think the loss to the democrats is doubly troubling, because they expected to win.
Trump worked his tail off knowing this, and overcame their deceit in voting.
What gets me is we have a judge who by anyone’s measurement is a man of achievement, but... BUT not good enough for the democrats.
I can’t imagine life in this USA if that had happened.
Meanwhile the NYT editorial board has a hissy fit.

Wonder what Justice Ginsberg is thinking about this.
I can hear the DIm battle cry now.” BORK! HiM”
Schumer takes seizure reminiscent of the bedroom scene from the Exorcist.

Ginsberg fell asleep before the announcement...
Yes but he is a white conservative male. Smart, successful, a good husband and father. We are in the age of diversity. The same with Trump and that’s what the libs do not approve of. Even though our first black president made a mess of things they want to try the whole gambit: women, Hispanics, Muslims, one eyed dwarves, what else?
“Colorado has a long, bipartisan history of supporting reproductive rights.”
Where does this “reproductive rights” crap come from? Did anyone see Tucker’s show last night, when he was trying to pin some smarmy leftist to the wall because the guy wouldn’t even say the word “abortion”?
But, but, Trump isn’t a real conservative!!!!
His conservatism as president vastly exceeds his ability to be on both sides of many issues during the campaign and before. I am ecstatic.
Neil Gorsuch writings about euthanasia, from his book (opposed).
I doubt Trump social conservative personally, but he is holding fast to the platform he ran on. He takes a stand and carries through on his word no matter the opposition outcry and I respect that.
We may not agree with all his positions, but the fear that Trump was really a Dem in disguise can now be left behind. He is on his way to being a great president. He is the Charles Martel of the 21st Century.
