"Guns don't kill people. Toddlers kill people."
That's the bold if satirical message of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, which published a video in October warning Americans of the dangers of toddlers.
Toddlers have shot about one person a week for the past two years and by May, toddlers were behind more U.S. shootings in 2016 than Muslim terrorists were.

One anti-gun activist group claims to maintain maps of every firearm accident involving children. Their 2017 map shows two cases where young children fired a gun killing someone in January. Both are tragic accidents, and reasons why everyone should secure firearms and other dangerous items when young children are around.
The only way to stop a bad toddler with a gun is with a good toddler with a gun.
Two quick quesitons: 1)How do you decide which toddler doesn't go in the vault, and 2)If you don't have any toddlers, where do you get the ones you put in the vault?
My Ma put a S&W model 29 in my bassinet, then left town on a Greyhound bus.
I weaned off the barrel, your honor then I fell in with some bad play dates.
I’m surprised the number isn’t higher based upon the Murder/shooting rate in Chicago.

Chicago marked 2016 as the deadliest year in nearly two decades, data released by the
Chicago Police Department shows.
The city saw a surge in gun violence in 2016: 762 murders, 3,550 shooting incidents, and
4,331 shooting victims, according to a statement released by the department on Sunday.

Places with restrictive gun laws always have high levels of violent crime as a result.

12 is old enough that they should have well established marksmanship skills with small caliber guns.

Careful, he’ll put your eye out.
Well, the “other articles” “confirm” at a base level, although the headline is fake news.
THey haven’t “shot and killed” someone every week. They have SHOT someone every week. Only a few of them ended up dying.
According to the Washington Post article cited, 43 weeks into 2015, 43 toddlers had shot someone. 31 shot themselves, 12 shot someone else. 13 toddlers killed themselves, 2 other people were killed by toddlers.
In 2016, 39 toddlers shot themselves according to the story in press union, with 16 of them dying. 12 shot other people — no word on how many of them died.
It does appear that a lot of the toddlers are from the south. So if you live in Georgia, be on the lookout for a 3-year-old with a gun.
Also — more children die each year of self-induced poisoning than by shooting themselves.
In other words, the drugs and chemicals you have in your house are more likely to kill your toddler than your gun.
So maybe we should ban drugs and chemicals.
Seems to me it would be smarter to lock the toddlers in the vault. That way you could keep the guns out where you need them.

CT won’t allow a 12 yo to shoot at a range.
I’m still skeptical. The CIA controls most “news” today.

Wow!
That’s sad. Kids need to learn early.
