Trump Signs Two Executive Orders; Expands Power of Military, ‘Extreme Vetting’
NBC News ^ | January 27, 2017 | PHIL MCCAUSLAND and COURTNEY KUBE

President Donald Trump signed two executive orders on Friday that dramatically expand the nation's military and so-called "extreme vetting" of visa seekers from terror-plagued countries — moves aimed at strengthening the U.S. response to terrorism both home and abroad.

In signing the order, Trump pledged to "keep radical Islamic terrorists out of the United States of America."

Extreme vetting is an idea that evolved from Trump's controversial Muslim ban that he called for in Dec. 2015, which would address the refugees entering the country.

"We've taken in tens of thousands of people. We know nothing about them," Trump said in an interview with Fox News' Sean Hannity on Thursday. "They can say they vet them. They didn't vet them. They have no papers. How can you vet somebody when you don't know anything about them and you have no papers?"

Even the York area is too close to the aforementioned holes for my liking - too many people, too much traffic - and that was in the '90s.

Having spent a bunch of years in the southcentral half of the state has made the northern half seem even more idyllic.

You'd probably miss the bright lights/big city too much, but I spent enough (younger) years around a few of those to have gotten that itch out of my system.

Hope the new place in Jersey turns out to be a nice peaceful 'psyche recharging station' for you/hubby !

No, I’d happily give up the bright lights for a good life full of decent American citizens. As long as I have my computer and a decent grocery store, I’m now happy!

We’re not particularly happy where we are now because we are in a very congested area that Obama filled up with weird third-world immigrants. The only beauty part is that we still use NYC for opera and ballet.

PA isn’t all Philadelphia or Pittsburgh.

It’s a great gun friendly state. Unlike the People’s Hell of NJ.

NJ: the armpit of the world.

I’m just going on a friend - a very conservative friend - who thinks PA is not a friend to ordinary Americans. (She’s hot on Arizona.) I visit Bucks County on a regular basis. I think it’s very beautiful but have no doubt that it is democratic hell.

Extreme vetting = keep muzzies out of our country altogether. Vet them at the border, vet them in America’s streets, vet them in the mosques.

It’s really not a bad state at all. Just some places.

We’ll be cleaning those up too, shortly... :^)

“Extreme vetting is an idea that evolved from Trump’s controversial Muslim ban...”

Gutless liberals find it “controversial” only because the leftists hoped to use the Muslim apes as its surrogate mercenary army to start killing Americans by the thousands.

The ball is now back in the leftists’ court and has them frustrated. American leftists have neither the guts nor the martial skills to murder Americans.

Banning Muslim mercenaries is a huge blow to the leftists. Go find a corner to cry in, commie weaklings. We know where you live.

“Banning Muslim mercenaries is a huge blow to the leftists.”

And that, ladies and gentlemen is the very essence of the matter.

As a student of History I can’t help but see a lot of Churchill in Trump. Bucking up the Troops during the Blitz. A Strong leader that is not afraid to strengthen the spine, and call out the enemy.
>

Ultimately, you may be correct (history does repeat).

In times of strife, The People vote in a leader whom knows how to get ‘things done’.

Then they quickly jettison all logic\reason for a return of stupidity\FREE-shit.

Hopefully, DT, not being beholden to another, can take us back ~100 yrs. and make the Marxists begin anew (The People having learned jack sh!t though).

Amazing the restoration the man has done in 5 days that NO other (R) even payed lip service.

How ‘bout we follow the ‘Great Migration’: 40 yrs of closed borders\NO immigration and MAKE the immigrants integrate.

Yeah, I know...’hate’ all the way.

I always thought it was a chicken sh*t thing Obama did, by sending the Churchill bust back to England, and the media didn’t call him out on this.

Here’s my prediction.

There’s a lot of dirt on Obama. For all we know, he worked for the CIA. Fact is, the Russians, the Israelis and the Brits know enough about the guy, that if he meddles too much in the Trump admin, he’ll get a very discrete but clear message that he will be outed.

In addition to that I predict two more things.

There will be a Clinton Foundation indictment. It’s so damn obvious what they were pulling there. I mean, the money dries up as soon as she not in the public eye any more. IOWs they weren’t donating money for the common good.

And secondly, the tell all books that will be coming out on Obama are going to be embarrassing. We’ve had a little picture already of the guy’s laziness and his stupidity.

The comparison between the two men is striking.

I don’t think Obama did anything spontaneous in any of his dealings. Every meeting, every presser was staged.

Trump is running the country like a business. It’s amazing.
but long over due.

Concerning how soon people forget, and become lazy. Yes that is true. Like you say. History repeats itself. In the meantime. Enjoy the ride! 😉

Your probably right. Sure miss your daily Trump Rallies from last year. First thing I did when I got to work in the morning was to find that thread and Bookmark it. Sure enjoyed my long Afternoons & Evenings of heavy OT last year. Laughed all day long. My coworkers thought I was Nuts. They get it Now. Thanks 😉

Details needed, but the "extreme vetting" EO has been signed.

Probably a general order with specific results required - the process can be refined and fine tuned as they go.

Whoa now Nelly. I thought we were shutting down all VISA entry from Muslim countries so be it only for 4 months and not until we had these animals under control. Strengthening checks on people you know have no background data on does not work. The shiitty wheel will come around and soak you down but good

What happened to that promise of no entry?

I hate all these lies...
