On Wednesday, Republican Nebraska State Senator Bill Kintner stepped down following criticism from both the public and fellow lawmakers over an offensive tweet he sent out the day after the Women’s March.
Kintner retweeted a now-deleted tweet by Larry Elder, a conservative radio host.

True, Sen Kintner was on thin ice already. But the Elder tweet definitely meant the women in the picture were safe from Trump grabbing them, not from any rapist. Kintner got blindsided by the snowflakes in the Unicameral and the Republicans who wanted him out.
He was about to be expelled because of the prior Anthony Weiner type activity. He decided he’d rather resign than be expelled.
