The former head of President Donald Trumps transition team at the Environmental Protection Agency said Thursday he expects the new administration to seek significant budget and staff cuts.
Myron Ebell said in an interview with The Associated Press that Trump is likely to seek significant reductions to the agencys workforce currently about 15,000 employees nationwide. Ebell, who left the transition team last week, declined to discuss specific numbers of EPA staff that could be targeted for pink slips.
Asked what he would personally like to see, however, Ebell said slashing the agencys size by about half would be a good start.

Downsize to maybe 2000 employees MAX.
Good. My suggestion: bringing the workforce down to one-the head of the agency.
Slashing it by half would be a good start, lol, that would be great.
Need to get rid of new hires (Obama’s morons) first.
Slash ALL federal agencies.
The D.C. housing market is about to tank. Doing to be a lot of out of work insiders now on the outside.
D.C. is like the capitol in Hunger Games. 4 of the 5 richest counties in the country surround the place. Time to drain the swamp.
It’s no wonder they are sobbing a river at the Epa! WINNNING!
That sounds like a good plan to me.
1,999 too many.
Trump needs to cut EPA’s budget by 8 billion dollars, and reduce the employees by 15,000.
The EPA: Nixon’s worst idea. It should be abolished entirely and the od Interior Dept should be in charge of monitoring block grants to states for oil spills and other environmental clean up chores. Oh, and their enormous stash of guns and ammo should be sold at public auction.
OUCH!
I have really enjoyed the Trump show this week. It’s been like watching a talented boxer. Left jab-Left jab-Left jab-Left jab-BAM to the face with the Right. The media and the Dims don’t know which way to move.
I want to see several agencies reduced to “scorecard” status. Since they are all duplications of state agencies anyway, they should just collect data and publish reports. And given no regulatory authority whatsoever. EPA and DO Education are perfect candidates. Maybe EPA I can have a science advisory board once it learns to behave.
Just one question.
Is there a point where WINNING is hazardous to your health?
Uh-oh. One of Dr. Frank-N-Furter’s more obscure lines in Rocky Horror is “It’s not easy having a good time; even smiling makes my face ache.”
Yeah!
Don’t slash it, kill it.
Every day is Christmas. This will spark our country another Trillion.
Suggest that all communists (which is, at least, 75% of the EPA workforce) be deported to Russia, NK, or China.
