Liberals vs liberals vs liberals. No matter how it goes down, some liberal group will end up being the bad guy.
“When the assembly is convened on public property, individuals are prohibited from possessing firearms while demonstrating or picketing without advanced permission.”
So if they ask permission (not unreasonable for an otherwise practically disruptive event, philosophy & caliber aside) they can demonstrate while armed? A little paperwork & processing fees for assembly, and NBPP is good to go.
Popcorn?
Sounds like someone on the Left wants this group to cause a situation that will advance gun control laws.
I’d like to know who the little birdie was.
My Statement:
We understand you are going to holding an Armed Protest, in preperation I have Ordered the National Guard to be on Alert, there will be 2 F-18’s overhead at all times loaded with Napalm, the first act of Violence and we are going to Fry your Asses.
Unfortunately there are those who won’t have enough self control to simply ignore them. If ignored, problem solved.
And, if ignored, open carry is Trumpeted (pun intended).
Black Leftist Mobs (BLM) don’t matter.
It is being held at Creekwood a place know for trouble.
Very sketchy area of town, but I may show up with a camera. Not sure the Mossberg is all that welcome tho.
Having just been beaten at the democratic process, the left will turn to violence and civil disorder...
They applied for the permit at the end of December, so if they follow the rules, no problem.
There might be a problem if the libs in NC decide they’re too afraid of armed blacks marching through the streets. Then it will be time to make some popcorn.
Hmm ... the law seems to indicate that even if marching for 2nd amendment rights your not allowed to do so without advanced approval.
Did they even bother to make the request?
I found this funny
“Events Occurring In Public Places
North Carolina law further makes it unlawful for any person participating in, affiliated with,or present as a spectator at any parade, funeral procession, picket line, or demonstration upon any public place, owned or under the control of the State of North Carolina, or any of its political subdivisions, to willfully or intentionally possess, or have immediate access to any dangerous
weapon. N.C. Gen. Stat. § 14-277.2. Persons exempted from the provisions of N.C. Gen. Stat. §14-269(b) are not bound by this prohibition. These persons are set forth in Paragraph III. A. of this publication.
This prohibition also does not apply to the concealed carry of a handgun at a parade or funeral procession by a person with a valid permit to carry a concealed handgun, or by someone who is exempt from obtaining a permit pursuant to N.C. Gen. Stat. § 14-415.25. However, no person, irrespective of a permit or ability to carry without a permit, may carry a concealed handgun on any premises where the person in legal possession or control has posted a
conspicuous notice prohibiting the carrying of a concealed handgun. “
Update:
The cops took their guns and made them take off their masks, but no one was arrested in spite of clearly violating several laws.
