Today, America gets a new First Lady. Shes beautiful a former model! with an impeccable wardrobe and the money to buy all the couture she wants. So why, when President Trump and his family are long out of the White House, and his administration is enshrined in the annals of history, will Michelle Obama a woman with no connection to the fashion industry before she came into public view be remembered as the more iconic of the two?
Its simple. Becoming an icon is about more than just a pretty face and an international platform.

Comparisons to Jackie O., who wore the same color Oleg Cassini suit fifty-six years ago today: January 20, 1961, the day her husband John F. Kennedy was inaugurated.
Entire premise of article is wrong—Jackie’s and Melania’s suits were not the same color from the photos I saw on SmartPage Images. Jackie was wearing a muted grey-blue suit with a black neckline scarf or cowl under it and a matching grey-blue hat.
Design is different, Melania has her own fabulous style :)
LOL. She is an ICON all right - an ICON of what not to wear - even Wookies would dress better.
The Forbes family no longer owns Forbes. It was sold many years ago to the highest bidding leftists.
Fiush outta water, bless her heart.
Fish outta water, gasping for breath, bless her heart.
Wide load! ...
False by inspection!
Women second from left: *Why is she spreading her apart legs like that?*
O RLY? Since when. I musta missed it.
Oh my, maybe the rumors are actually true...

Ms Thorning-Schmidt turns out to be married to Stephen Kinnock, son of UK ex-Labour Leader Neil Kinnock, who, in turn, has a certain relationship connection to Joe Biden, former Vice President of the United States.

It’s about looking like a man in a dress and as ugly as sin but because she’s black we must lie
Man, the comments on the article are about 95% against the author. I guess even Forbes does clickbait now.
I think they wanted to propagandize everyone to believe she was the ultimate First Lady. Now If you Google "fashion icon" she is probably near the top of the search results. It's an example of Fake News.
Now, contrary to what some here may think, I believe that there were times when she could look striking, but often she looked like she didn't care what people thought about what she wore, and I guess in her position, that is iconic. I am looking forward to the next four years, at least!, of fashions from the White House, Melania's and Ivanka's!
Mrs Trump will remind many of Jackie’s class and style.
My FAVORITE picture!!!!
