Boy, I hate to admit it, but somebody who’s 20 or older and was brought here as a kid, this is all they know.
I KNOW they have to go, but maybe they could serve in the military or pay a monstrous fine and not be able to vote?
I’m gonna get zotted aren’t I?
I KNOW I KNOW, they have to go.
I agree with you.
Buck up and use your mind.
Give them (the older teens and young adults) the opportunity to become citizens. It will be their choice. I’m sure given a choice, most if not all will choose to do so.
Now, the recent arrivals will have to return to their countries with their families and come in the correct and legal way.
There are many people waiting to become citizens who have gone about it legally, and it is not fair or equitable for those who have not to take primacy.
But, for children who came to the US as infants or toddlers and have grown up knowing nowhere else, it would be cruel to deport them to their countries of origin and probably dangerous for them IMHO.
I agree with you. There should be a way for these people to serve the country for a given period of time and satisfy that debt. This would simplify the deportation efforts. It would also take some wind out of the sails of protesters.
Those people who have been deported and have re-entered illegally over three times, should simply be locked up on someplace like GITMO. Same fate for illegals who have killed via drunk driving AFTER already being convicted of a DWI. Deportation won’t work with these folks who pay no attention to the law of the land.
Illegal aliens are barred from the military, only citizens and legal resident aliens may serve.
It is their parents responsibility for their situation, not ours. They can go home with their parents, we don’t want to split up families.
If we start making exceptions we will never deport anyone.
No. You have a valid point. Someone brought here illegally at 2 through an illegal action of their parents and the willful ignorance of US law by our own government has really created a no mans land for these ppl. That’s why the whole illegal immigration problem is so sad. You have people willfully breaking the law and the government willfully choosing not to enforce it. So you have a situation where everyone is wrong but nobody is accountable. Unfortunately they have to go. But Trump can make this happen just by enforcing federal law and not specifically “targeting” these individuals.
BS!
They all know they hate America and plan to suck it dry of financial resources...
750,000 need to go...Probably 80% of the "criminal" element is contained within this group of 750,000 so-called "children".
Hmmm! "Wet foot", "dry foot", "wetback"...All are criminal-invaders and should repopulate their own home country...
I agree with you. This is all they know. If they are law abiding and have grown up here I think there should be some way to give them a time limit and a way to get legal status
Nope,no sale. You may not realize it but you're reading from the ACLU Playbook.Every wetback goes...regardless of how white (or dark)...regardless of how young (or old)...healthy (or sick)...arrived yesterday (or in 1928)....perfect English (of no English)....
Get the picture?
“Boy, I hate to admit it, but somebody whos 20 or older and was brought here as a kid, this is all they know.”
Germany invaded France in WWII. Germans brought their kids. France failed to eject them until 1960. Should the Germans be able to continue to stay in France or should France deport them back to Germany?
Mexico invaded the US. I couldn’t care less about the children they brought here to colonize and take over the US.
People should never be rewarded for invading America, and if kids are allowed to stay, this sends a bad message to others.
“I KNOW they have to go, but maybe they could serve in the military or pay a monstrous fine and not be able to vote?”
You wont be zotted. I think if they get rid of anchor babies from here forward, and kids that came here as children do something like honorable military service or some measurable positive contribution, then yeah, fast track them. I think most people here are cool with that, people are just sick of the entitlement culture
“I KNOW they have to go, but maybe they could serve in the military “
I do believe if you serve in the military you get citizenship.
We don’t hate these people. Many are victims of their parents’ and some lousy politicians’ bad decisions.
I wish them no ill.
I doubt the Mexican people or the Canadian people wish me ill, either, but they’ll never let me be a citizen of their country, either.
At 20 years old, they can leave and get in line to come here legally.
Will they be loyal to our country, tho?
To be honest, I’d grant waivers to the ones who are getting good grades (A’s & B’s) in school. But only for a short time, because leftist teachers would immediately just give all of them A’s to keep them here.
they and their families have had ample time to decide to do the right thing and return to their home country and apply to come here legally.
Letting those who were brought as infant or child here stay is like saying it’s ok for women to come here and give birth so their child can stay and have rights.
Those “dreamers” chose to remain here illegally hoping they could continue to stay and suck up tax payer monies and services all while continuing and knowingly breaking the law.
only thing that unsettles me is Trump said he was working on some thing they would like.
I don’t want them cutting in line or any favoritism. Their parents brought them illegally and they chose to stay illegally.
You make a good point, and I am with you. It’s not as simple as we like to believe, the exception being of children living here 5 years or more. Not their fault, and they could become major recruitment opportunities for terror groups and cartels after hostile deportation.
Yes you are. There have been many standing in line while these people cut in front of them.
