...Despite the shenanigans Sean Spicer was correct. The crowd grew significantly just as the event began. Yes, this was mostly due to the crowd being intentionally delayed from attending. Yes, tens of thousands of people could not get through the screenings. Yes, the federal workers and DC Park and Security leadership made attendance more difficult than any previous inauguration.

“Holy Moley, thats a lot of people. I cant imagine speaking in front of so many poeople.”
Would be fun with a guitar, amp and a lot of feedback.
Chuck Todd puts bag over head and yells not not not....
Sure looks like it to me.
Wow!!! What a great pic. Amazing.
Really?
You believe what the media tells you?
And after being here more then a couple of hours?
The media lies.
If their lips are moving, they are lying. If they show you a picture, it is not as represented.

Regardless of how many people viewed the swearing in, it seemed to me that the crowd on the parade route was kind of sparse, almost outnumbered by the security people in some places. Maybe this was because of the weather and the threats of major disruptions by protestors. Some of the small bleachers near the White House looked barely half-full.
If you zoom in on the empty space there are barriers erected in the middle of the section with just a few people standing behind them. I wonder if they did that to make the crowd look more sparse.
***And can anyone tell me why, during the Presidents speech, all those men in uniform came up behind him and stood there for a few moments?***
I have been wondering that same thing myself.
The only reason to care for crowd size is to answer an untruth. That s&!% stopped on Friday, January 20th. They are not dealing with George Bush anymore. And Zeke Miller needs to be out of the White House forever. He is a liar, too.

The PRAVDA media will not go away until Soros and the like run out of money to fund idiocy...
Trump a will rely on popular active support to keep the pressure on congress...
Trump will circumvent the pravda media and talk direct to the PEOPLE...
The PEOPLE now have to take ACTION...
Yeah - they posted pics from way early on and before the crowd had actually amassed. Same concept as them not panning the crowds at Trump rallies because it demonstrated that even when they did their best to exaggerate Hillary’s “crowds”, Trump’s turnout swamped hers.
“Its Washington DC. Political shenanigans should always be anticipated it is just how DC rolls. Slow-walking TSA screenings under the auspices of security, obstruction, annoyance, intentional delays and all manner of historic DC employee behavior is the norm not the exception. Again, reference the statistical political ideology.”

You can even see the snipers on the roof tops.
“And can anyone tell me why, during the Presidents speech, all those men in uniform came up behind him and stood there for a few moments?”
Yeah, that was very weird.
PBS is running a photograph purportedly taken “just minutes” before our new President took the oath of office. It shows the crowd to be roughly 1/3 the size of the one for Obama’s 2009 inauguration, and is obviously contradicted by this photo from CNN (it can be seen at the PBS website...). Has anyone out there de-bunked the PBS propaganda?
I believe the men in uniform came up as the rain started and were prepared to shield him from the rain if it got heavy, but it stayed light, so they went back to their stations.
Thanks Noob.
I thought the same thing. The weather was not good; the threats of violence were constant, and the population immediately around the DC area is rabidly liberal.
The bulk of the Trump electorate was from the Midwest and South. These are the folks who rebelled against the status quo; they have been insulted, and also have lost their living wages because of liberal laws and regulation. The fact is the GOP base is relatively poor compared to the millionaire class of Democrats and the labor union teachers who always get a pay realize regardless of job performance.
The trump administration should succinctly state the previous facts: Leftists threatened violence and the lower middle class cannot afford to go to see Trump’s inauguration.

“Wonder if the U.S. Park Service has this photo in their defunct Twitter account?”
I think the The park service got out of head counting business after the Million Man March headcount dispute.
As I recall the dispute got rather heated as the Farakhan camp ramped up over the figures.
