Billionaire Tom Steyer: There’s ‘No Limit’ to How Much I’ll Spend to Combat Donald Trump

The billionaire Tom Steyer, an environmental activist, said he won't quantify how much he is willing to spend to combat Donald Trump's presidency.

“If you ask me can I put a limit on how much I value the health, the safety, the employment and the civil liberties of Americans, there’s no limit to what I think that’s worth,” Steyer told Bloomberg in an interview. Steyer, a Democrat who spent at least $87 million on the 2016 presidential election, was the biggest individual political donor in the race. According to Bloomberg, Steyer routes most of his money through the NextGen Climate Action Committee, a Super PAC he helped create in 2012 in an effort to devote himself to conservation. During the 2016 election, Steyer funded several anti-Trump ads through NextGen Climate.

Steyer wants to fight against the Trump administration potentially weakening environmental regulations. Trump has said climate change is a hoax invented by China. Although he has let up on some of his campaign promises, like pulling the U.S. out of the Paris Climate Agreement, his overall stance on the environment has alarmed conservationists.“We don’t know how much of their campaign rhetoric they’re going to try to put into action,” Steyer said. “But this is the most broad-based and dangerous attack on American values certainly that I have ever experienced in my lifetime and much more than I have ever imagined would happen while I’m alive.”

All this money being spent to destroy Trump could be used to help the children. Who will help the children?

He’s welcome to say what he wishes, but I have a feeling that Trump’s Justice Department will find a way to make his life quite difficult.

Hopefully, he will emulate a millionaire who was in a nursing home in St. Petersburg, FL back in the early 1960's who laughed as flushed $100 Bills down his toilet! FOR REAL!

Jeb, hillary, soros, and now this greenbean thinks money is what it takes to defeat Trump. They are like those Michael Jordon commercials for Nike: it’s gotta be the shoes! Nope, it’s not the shoes and it’s not the money: it’s all about Jordon’s and Trump’s skillz!

Somewhere in time I remember the old saying “A Fool and His Money Are Soon Parted”.

To which, in the case of Steyer, I add, “A fool and his mind are soon parted”. Bon voyage, 1 percenter ahole.

His statement has let every get rich quick Democrat know that this man is easy pickin’s for a couple of million clams. Just sell him on the notion that your thing-a-mag-jig will be ‘The One Weird Trick’ that produces the final downfall of Donald Trump. When the scheme fails or is inconclusive, follow that up with ‘Sorry Tom, but if only we had invested a little bit more. That would have made all the difference between success and failure!’

I think it needs to be explicitly said... Tom Steyer spent more in anti-Trump ads in California than Trump spent to win the Republican nomination. He spent a quarter of what Trump spent to win the presidency.

In a state that Hillary was going to win no matter what.

So if he's willing to blow 60 million on vanity anti-Trump ads in California, man, I'd be beating down his door if I was a commercial maker or media buyer to see just how much more money I could get from him. Just imagine how many hundreds of millions he'd be willing to spend on anti-Trump ads in New York and Washington DC...

A fool and his money are swiftly parted. And boy, Tom Steyer’s image is going to be in the next dictionary under the entry for fool.

How can people be this ignorant?
