Thank God he wasn’t rushed to the hospital!

#41 is old, so one of these times is going to be his last. God bless him. I hope and pray he hangs in through President Trump’s Inauguration and first months or better yet, first term!

He’s always been a tough soldier. Too bad that Jeb ran, which forced the dear old man to go ‘bitter.’

To be fair, if my son/brother/dad lost an acrimonious election, I’d probably feel the same way, family loyalties being what they are

The Bush Clan, placing America 2nd for generations!

I didn’t like the guy, even with his tottering age he was totally classless in voting for Hillary and telegraphing it to RFK’s daughter, he didn’t like “us” and made that clear, but I wish him a quick recovery like I would for virtually everyone, with the exception of Charles Manson and others of his ilk.

Agree. I hope former President Bush recovers and thrives, even at 92 years old.

I still can’t believe he lost to Clinton; it was almost as if he didn’t care.

"Yes he was a CIA guy. He was also in Congress, the Senate, the Navy, an Ambassador to China, and Reagan’s VP for eight years."

Yes his resume was amazing, I voted with gusto for him, only to be disappointed and having George Mitchell with the help of Sunnunu and Darmon ( those 2 putzes ) take him to the woodshed on breaking his tax pledge. It became my reason for pulling the lever for Buchanan as a protest in the primary in 92' in Massachusetts of all places. Had he listened to cabinet member Bill Bennett and VP Dan Quayle and "Don't do it" on the Tax Bill, perhaps the Clinton's would have never made it out of Arkansas.

And that is something we will never know but worth considering....

I can’t imagine he went to the hospital overnight and will be at the inauguration on Friday.

Regardless of their NWO tendencies, I wish him well.

Let’s not argue while he’s ill but for the sake of history, the elder Bush is a great American and great man. WWII hero and life of service at all levels. Most forget he is the one who oversaw the end of the USSSR, liberation of East Europe.

I fear he may not live to see the inauguration. The man had a great life, I only regret the horrible reelection campaign. Perot and media played a role there.

He was in charge of killing President Kennedy. He then was part of the cover-up and probably responsible for the attempt on Reagan’s life. He is anything but a “great” man.

George HW Bush was by far Ronald Reagan's greatest mistake, Reagan felt (perhaps correctly) that he had to put a “moderate” on the ticket in 1980 to get the full support of the party. Reagan should have ditched Bush in 1984 for someone loyal to Reagan conservatism, instead we ended up with a RINO as Reagan's heir-apparent, a man who worried more about getting along with democrats than holding true to Reaganism, and destroyed much of what Reagan built in four years and then lost in 1992 because of it.

Surely not the same HW Bush some of us know.
