Senator Dan Coats (R-IN) asked Koskinen about the process, and for the commissioner to explain the logic behind giving tax refunds to illegal aliens who have committed a theft of a tax-payer’s identification number.
Koskinen’s response, according to the Washington Examiner, was that it was in everybody’s interest to have the illegal aliens pay taxes with stolen id’s.

They don’t give a green flip about a revenue. They want to subsidize that illegal. If they want money they create (borrow) it. IRS and taxes are for control.
Strange because don’t you sign and swear the information on your tax form is correct and true? So they are lying to the IRS on the form. Is that also legal? Sounds like a tangled mess that needs to be fixed. It seems one should be told if their SS is being used. And what happens when there is a duplicate? It sounds more than a bit crazy - sounds very crazy!
If it were only their own refunds, it wouldn’t be quite so bad as it really is. The Earned Income Tax Credit gives them back way more money than they ever paid in. And then there’s the matter of the stealing (with their phony Social Security Numbers) the refunds due to real taxpayers.
Just more effin’ insanity from these CRAZY liberals!

I saw a documentary about a guy that the IRS harassed and snatched his assets including pay check garnishment because an illegal had used his identity to work. He presented the IRS with undeniable evidence but they basically told him the same thing, that their only concern is collecting the taxes, not if the SS number was stolen.
So...the Demos only care about MONEY, not the LAW!!
How does he know that they aren’t getting refunds that should belong to the legal tax payer on the account?
2.Many of these folks have figured out how to beat the system by claiming lots of dependents (in Mexico of course) which are not verifiable and then getting a large return under the “earned income tax credit”

Exactly. the EITC has become a illegal drain of taxes for illegals with unverifiable numbers of dependents in Mexico.
They are going through this fraud to the benefit of billions and billions in EITC, too, by often just claiming to have massive numbers of children back home.
These people are getting HUGE refunds with child credits AND they are REALLY paying NO FEDERAL taxes!!!! This is ALL about SS and your are right these BASTARDS will find a way for them to collect the SS also!!!
Essentially, they are not “lying” on the form, they are reporting their income under that number (W4 / 1099) - and filing a return based on it. The IRS can match up the two so “everybody” is happy!
Not sayin’ it’s right - AFAIC we should do away with the income tax (and SS and all the others taken from our income) entirely! Then we wouldn’t need government agencies that can play such games.
Have you ever heard of Advanced EITC payments? It is a government program where “ the entitled” can get advance payments on their EITC booty in every paycheck. And, the employer has to foot the bill for it until they file their own taxes. How sick/sweet is that?
