The Clinton Foundation announced it’s laying off 22 staffers on the Clinton Global Initiative, keeping with a plan to deal with the negative spotlight put on the organization during former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.

The layoffs will take effect April 15, the Clinton Foundation said in a filing with the New York Department of Labor Thursday, citing the discontinuation of the Clinton Global Initiative. The move is part of a plan put in motion ahead of the presidential election in order to offset a storm of criticism regarding pay-to-play allegations during Clinton’s tenure as secretary of state.

Isn't that odd? Billy was president 8 years. Hillary as First Lady eight years then a US Senator for eight years....and Secy of State for four years.

Even "Tee me Obama" noticed that all of their really great accomplishments....saving people's lives, fighting disease.... happened only when they had a foundation.

Even more significantly, all of the global goodness happened at the same time the Clintons got filthy rich accepting donations from foreigners, countries, and various entities......even a Baptist Church in Cameroon.

(Just a coincidence, I'm sure) that companies doing business before the State Department, got lucrative favors from Hillary AND AT THE SAME TIME donated to the foundation.

EMPHASIS should be placed here: the Clintons raised money for a specific project, and got people to contribute for that particular project ....... soliciting by snailmail or email.

Podesta's recent email drop asserts contributions were diverted elsewhere. Monies donated to "help the poor" diverted to finance Chelsea's wedding, Bill's globe-trotting, high-end staff salaries, glitzy events, admin costs, is considered mail/electronic fraud.

I think a lot of “charities” are like this. When the majority of money goes “elsewhere”.

I am reminded of the hour-long “preaching” infomercial that runs every single night, 7 days a week. Lots good Gospel singing for about 1/2 hour, some reasonably-solid Bible teaching for about an hour and then 1/2 hour of send in your money - $1000 or more. Sometimes it’s the magic $273 amount.

7. Days. A. Week.

Of course they never really explain WHAT they’re doing with the $100 million dollars a year or so that they raise. The guy behind it has a $4+ million dollar house that he built on Indian land.

I’m all for people giving to God and the furthering of the Gospel. We were also warned about those just in it for the money, fleecing the flock.
