The head of the D.C. National Guard, Maj. Gen. Errol R. Schwartz, said Friday that he has been ordered removed from his command effective Jan. 20, 12:01 p.m., just as Donald Trump is sworn in as president.
Schwartzs forced departure will come in the midst of the presidential inauguration that he has spent months helping plan alongside D.C. police, the U.S. Secret Service and other top District officials. He will turn over command to an interim as power transfers from one president to the next, and just before the inaugural parade marches down Pennsylvania Avenue.
The timing is extremely unusual, Schwartz said in an interview Friday morning, confirming a memo announcing his ouster that was obtained by The Washington Post. During the inauguration, Schwartz would command not only the members of the D.C. guard but also an additional 5,000 troops sent in from across the country to help. He also would oversee military air support protecting the nations capital during the inauguration.
My troops will be on the street, Schwartz, 65, said. Ill see them off but I wont be able to welcome them back to the armory. He said that he would never plan to leave a mission in the middle of a battle.
Schwartz said he would oversee duties in a command center and then depart at 12:01 p.m., retiring from the Army.

I don’t see much into it. Since they’re [the media] really struggling to find fault with everything he does.
I think he’s doing it for the simple reason that he owns the inauguration, and he owns anything that happens after 12:01
It makes me wonder though at the timing. During changes like that is when you’re the most vulnerable to exploits. I’m sure the next commander will be with him from the moment he wakes up in the morning until 12:01, and he’s likely to have an armed security escort with him.
That’s not the big worry. That was just a distraction/test.
Reasonably would somebody competent and organized actually plant guns in a trash can two weeks before the event?
I don’t think so.
Trump approaches the Rubicon.
WOW!!!

Trup should write an order to be hand delivered at the moment of his swearing in re-appointing the general.
Article on info wars about Obama ordering a stand down for riots inaugural day.
Now days our civil control forces are garbed down in so much mil paraphernalia it’s hard to even see the man inside the suit . Back then what stood out was the glittering bayonet .
Fear factor was good , against the anarchist miscreants
Illegal order?
I heard that today. The transition team told him he could stay on through the inauguration but he decided to be a drama queen and take the story to the WaPo.
It would scare me.
Do any of our military still use bayonets?
of course , but they are not the long kind anymore
Something about loooong bayonets ; very intimidating
I’ll say!
Calexit - “push for this has some reps from radical groups including gangs,...”
Isn’t northern Calif. prime marijuana territory?
Sorry glee, I can’t answer that.
More likely this guy was fired before the shadow gov’t could pull off a coup d’etat immediately after the inauguration ..... claiming they have evidence Trump is a Russian agent.
No president since John F. Kennedy has dared to take on the CIA or the rest of the national security establishment [
] They knew that if they opposed the national-security establishment at a fundamental level, they would be subjected to retaliatory measures.
Kennedy
After the Bay of Pigs, he vowed to tear the CIA into a thousand pieces and scatter them to the winds. He also fired CIA Director Allen Dulles, who, in a rather unusual twist of fate, would later be appointed to the Warren Commission to investigate Kennedys murder.
“He also fired...Allen Dulles, who...would later be appointed...to investigate Kannedy’s murder.”
Maybe that explains the results of the investigation and the fact that even after he died the bullet in Gov. Connelly was not recovered.
Didn’t see your reply until a while ago.
From what I’ve gathered, large numbers of appointees/hires are always let go when the new president takes the reins, but not necessarily one minute after noon on January 20. So it is odd. Hopefully it will be made clear. From what I’ve read, a lot of ahole organizations mostly funded by Soros, are planning to commit serious mayhem (video coming by O’Keefe coming out tomorrow about some of this) but the security both military and LE of various kinds will be very, very big that day. Security check points, so many things you can’t bring in, snipers, and on and on.
So....we shall see!
