Hillary’s Pardon – Will He or Won’t He? CNN Indicators Point to “YES”!…

Will President Obama pardon Hillary Clinton before he leaves office? A question curiously non-discussed in the media.

However, when you accept that CNN’s broadcasted narratives, ie. the preferred positions of the U.S. Department of State, are generally good predictors of the political forecast, all signs point to yes.

A pardon also stops at the edge of the ocean. Obama could issue a pardon and Trump could allow extradition. If that happened The PIAPS might wave the pardon.

“Don’t think that it’d be over if there’s a pardon.

First, she’d look guilty as Hell if she accepted it - whether it could otherwise be proven that she did something wrong or not. So her reputation would be shredded.

Second, since she could NEVER invoke the 5th Amendment (since she can’t be convicted based on the testimony), she could be compelled to testify about ALL of the sordid details. If she refuses to testify, then she can be jailed for contempt of court or Congress (as the case may be). Further, if she lies AT ALL, then she is guilty of perjury.

IMHO, the best possible thing for us is for her to be pardoned, and to then be called to testify. That is when it would really get interesting.”

“I don’t see Obama doing this. First, if Hillary accepts the pardon, it is a de facto admission of guilt.”

To you & I, maybe. But to Clinton-supporters? Democrats? The Media? If she isn’t wearing prison orange complete with nice shiny bracelets, then it didn’t happen. And they will continue to deny reality.

Nixon received a blanket pardon, and Clinton will also. I do not recall "Bubba" ever being pardoned, assuming by "Bubba" you mean Bill Clinton.

Exactly. I can’t imagine anyone being happy with being given a pardon when you’ve not been charged with something. It’s basically declaring you guilty without a trial.

No, because that would be when the poor dear has a relapse on her illness and will be too ill to testify,,,ever.

I don’t know the answer to this question, maybe someone here can answer it.

If someone is pardoned, does that mean that they can still be tried and convicted, but that they just don’t go to jail? Or If someone is pardoned, they can’t even be tried?

The reason I ask, is that if Hillary is pardoned, I still want to see her tried and convicted. Even if she doesn’t go to jail, I want to see that tag wrapped around the Clintons and all those associated with her.

On top of that, if she is pardoned but can still be tried and convicted, but no jail; then I would make an argument to try her and convict her, tell people that it is ok to find her guilty because she will be getting off anyway. So make it easy on people to say guilty knowing that she wont be going to jail. Again, I want to see her tried and convicted; I want that tag wrapped around the Clintons and all those associated with her.

There is a third option. Trump’s Attorney General could compile the whole stack of evidence, call Her Thighness in and place a PLea Bargain in front of her.

The Plea would be to admit guilt to a lesser charge, with the proviso that she has to provide full truthful testimony to a secret Grand Jury, never run for public office, never endorse others for public office, never speak or publish for or against any law, statute, regulation or candidate, with a full gag order for all matters related to the crimes.

In other words, she will shut up, go away, and leave the political scene forever. Can’t think of a better punishment that could realistically be applied.

The Attorney General could then release a statement that he’s grateful that Mrs. Clinton provided the assistance needed to successfully prosecute all of the criminal weasels on her Staff, and that he respects her expressed desire to withhold comment on any of her actions and to put this all in the past.

The recent news that the DOJ will take another look at James Comey’s actions re. Hillary prompts me to reprise my comment of earlier this year.  I may be DEAD WRONG (my few remaining friends know that to be my natural state),  but it’s entirely possible that Comey could go down as the guy who saved America — the idea — from the final destruction planned for us by the libs.  Comey MAY have constructed that presentation as a metaphorical flip of his middle finger to the White House, the Clintons, Holder and Lynch!
We will probably never know.  And, if he wants to continue sucking wind,  it’s a good bet that Comey will NEVER admit it!
DB
***********************************
As I reflected on Comey’s comments on Tuesday, it struck me that he may be more clever than we thought.  His first 15+ minutes were  loaded with sound bites Trump is already making into TV spots. Comey politely called her everything but a child of God and now it’s ALL OUT THERE from the top guy at the FBI!

Then by NOT referring it for prosecution, he has all but the most dedicated Clinton loyalists and brain-dead Democrats (but I again repeat myself) so FURIOUS at the failure to follow through that I believe the election may be an anticlimax — unless Trump steps on his ______________
(insert the name of your favorite body part here) — or they STEAL another one.

So, if he DID get “The Word” from obozo to keep Clinton in the race (and my guess is that he did), his presentation was constructed to do as much damage to her while, at the same time, TECHNICALLY following obama’s order to NOT refer for prosecution, keeping himself out of the doghouse (best case) or from prematurely and suddenly dropping to room temperature . Perhaps some sort of spiteful, up yours obozo twofer? We may never know!

Bottom line: Comey may understand, as many of us do, that losing this election would be more devastating to Hillary Clinton than being indicted and the prospect of going to prison!
PS: PARDON her for WHAT? Wouldn’t she have to either admit to a crime or have been tried and found guilty?

maybe try a pardon of all black prisoners at all levels.

You only read enough to jump to an inappropriate refutation, right? Has Hussein done or tried nothing else he is not authorized to do or that was patently illegal?

” expect a pardon no later than next Wednesday.”

I disagree. She still has dreams of the Presidency. If they do this, she is done. Everyone will know she is guilty of something. The Clinton's still have a lot of pull in DC. They will try to ride that through the storm. Most Americans have the attention span of my 3 year old. They will have forgotten all of this by 2020.

If he does pardon her, then we will know the corruption is far deeper than we imagined, and I imagined a lot.

Seems to me if she is pardoned it would make no sense to try to have a trial. A pardon already implies she is guilty of something she might be convicted on. The only good the trial would do is perhaps find out what she is guilty of in more detail. But in either case the fact that she is a crook is well known to those who want to know, and will be denied by those who want to deny it, and will be ignored by those who want to ignore such things. In arguments with those who wish to deny or in persuasion of those disengaged, conveying details of what is known and how it is known is a fruitless exercise. Just pointing out she is crooked and needed a pardon may seem overly simplistic, but it is the best way to present the facts to people that want to keep it simple.

“He will pardon her if he wants to finally remove her from the competition to control the Democrat Party and the Permanent Government.”

The good news here is that she’s not going to get a “spiritual pardon,” and that’s more problematic for her (and Slick). The Grim Reaper should be sharpening up his scythe.

This is correct.

We all assumed that Impeachment would disgrace WJC. Instead, it is rationalized as a political action by a Republican Congress, so there is no shame or embarrassment.

Ditto, if HRC is pardoned, it will be rationalized by the left as a necessary action by BO to protect her from political harassment from “evil Republicans”. They will continue to create their own reality.

I don’[t expect her to last very long. I don’t know how long Parkinson’s can go before one is mentally useless or physically expired even with the L-dopa. Her performance at her events of the campaign indicate it may not be more than a couple of years longer and the attendant pneumonia or an unbraced fall on concrete may get her before then.

Nobody says that you have to accept it. Not many turn it down, as it cleans their record. Those, like Nixon or Clinton, who abused their power and are guilty as Hell, generally don’t decline it because they’d be fools to do otherwise. Here, it depends on what Clinton thinks that Trump’s DOJ would do afterwards.

“I don’t see Obama doing this. First, if Hillary accepts the pardon, it is a de facto admission of guilt. Second, Obama WANTS the Clintons to continue to be dragged through the mud so he can assume the mantle of top dog in the Dem Party. And third, continued investigation of the Clintons can be used for fundraising and propaganda. Too many chumps on the left see the investigations into Hillary’s actions as a right-wing witch hunt and therefore are easy marks for fundraising.”

I agree. And add to your list that NOT pardoning Hillary leaves a real tar baby for the Trump administration, which is pretty much damned it they do and damned if they don’t investigate/prosecute, whereas a pardon lets the Trump administration off the hook.

And then there’s the giant “stain” on Obama’s “legacy” if he does pardon Hillary, yet another reason not to do it.

Well, after I posted I realized that my refutation was incomplete. Obama has the power to pardon/commute for federal offenses, not just prisoners. So he could pardon Hillary! for any federal crimes she may have committed. But attempting to free anyone for state offenses is several bridges too far, in my opinion. He has used pressure to ‘federalize’ local police forces, but he hasn’t tried to do it by fiat. Any attempt on his part to encroach on state prisons and their prisoners would be challenged in courts and stayed. Unless something unthinkable happens we’ll be seeing him in our rearview mirrors this time next week. Rejoice!
