During Senator Jeff Sessions’, R-Ala. (C,78%) Attorney General confirmation hearing today in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Senator Ted Cruz, R-Tex. (A, 97%) pointed out numerous Democratic hypocrisies that have been manifested in the past few years and during the hearing.
Democrats on the committee, especially Senator Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif. (F, 0%) had been grilling Sessions on whether he would uphold abortion laws in the United States if he becomes Attorney General. Senator Patrick Leahy, D, Vt. (F, 6%) interrogated Sessions on LGBT rights, questioning whether Sessions would uphold civil rights laws as Attorney General.
But did the Democrats care when Obama routinely flouted the law?
Ted Cruz wasn’t having it:

“When the Obama Justice Department sent millions of dollars of taxpayer money to sanctuary cities defying federal immigration law, the Democrats on this committee were silent. When the Obama administration refused to enforce federal immigration law…the Democrats on this committee were silent. When the Obama administration released tens of thousands of illegal aliens including rapists and murderers into the general population, Democrats on this committee were silent.”
Ted Cruz was kicking ass. And he wasn’t done. He pointed out Democratic hypocritical silence on Obama flouting the law and paying a ransom to Iran and for releasing Guantanamo terrorists without congressional approval.
Senator Cruz’s comments were met with acclaim from conservatives on Twitter:

Preach it, Ted Cruz.
No matter how you slice it, Obama is not the sharpest knife. He keeps making compulsive jabs at Trump—he can’t help himself; it’s his Malignant Narcissism showing through. He can’t seem to fathom that in 10 days he will no longer be POTUS, and Trump will. The more barbs he throws Trump’s way now, the harder it will come back to bite him then.
This will be something to see. Obama is sowing the wind, with a whirlwind just around the corner.
I already corrected my misstatement, but thanks anyway. In this case, I was glad to be wrong.
I don’t know about what Cruz could do or not do, I do know I don’t like him, never have, but what he did today to stand up the way he did, he does deserve credit for that, and that is as far as I go for now...

I’d only believe this if he fired his staff for doing it. Since he didn’t then it’s a lie. Ted directed it. Secondly Ted’s staff also sent out phone calls to tell his people to tell people in the polling places that Carson dropped out. I’ve listened to the calls. You need to fully review the facts of what happened before you spout off.
Ted Cruz has been a valuable ally since towards the end of the campaign, but misrepresenting his unethical behavior benefits no one.

I am with you 1000% on NOT LIKING the guy, there is something in my gut that tells me he is NOT to be trusted politically, HOWEVER if his belief in the constitution is as strong as he portrays then he would be a good fit for the SC!!! You are not beholden to DONORS on the SC!!!! There COULD be other things in his closet however!!!

Ted Cruz pretended that he is Constitutionally eligible to hold the office of president. He is not, nor will he ever be eligible. A person with this character flaw belongs in Hollywood, not on the Supreme Court.
Believe me, I wouldn’t want to look into his closet...Amanda Carpenter was far enough...but he did good today to stand up for one the Greatest Senators of all...

Wow. First time in almost two years that I am impressed with Cruz. He did a fantastic job. Keep it up Senator.
I think he truly believes that Sessions should be in the position. I don’t think there is more to it then that.
